labels print at 800mm in length default WHAT?? how wasteful!
takes batteries or is a USB plug in.The first few labels I tried to label my olive & veggie oil bottles and it was a disaster of seemingly mile long blank labels at first.I realized that this Prints labels with a 800MM lengths blank each side just to eat up the label material.. Nice (note sarcasm)so the first few labels I printed look like it was failing to work at all.I kept trying to learn how to use this as the manual indicated, and even with the enormous lead of blank label material the font was rediculously Small! surrounded by star brackets.So the printer was pretty easy to use other than the actual resulting label size and the stars but that learning curve is frustrating.After about 20 minutes, the 5th or 6th label and rereading the manual for the 4th time i got a label of reasonable size I could actually use and am staring to like this label makerI have used better more intuitive label printers with Much easier to use interfaces.but after playing with this one and getting used to it this is pretty good overall but much bettre ones out there .If you do decide to buy this the size of the label should be adjusted to a 20mm lead in or Less to prevent wasting too much label tape, and the size of font should be adjusted to Larger, almost double the default, to be a readable size before printing.

Small and super easy to use.
Been using this labeler for a few days, and so far very impressed. It’s a small size so super easy to handle. Yet, the keyboard is probably one of the easiest I’ve used on a label maker. They layout is logical, and especially since it’s a qwerty layout, and the symbols are easy to get to. I hate most label makers in trying to get to symbols and special characters, this one doesn’t suffer that problem at all. The menus are also easy to navigate and logically laid out. The printing was not as slow as I expected, so not bad at all. For light to medium use, this is the label maker to get!

Quick labels, with many options
I use this label maker for small notes on products, accessories, and power adapters. I like just turning it on, typing a quick label, and printing. Overall it works smoothly for basic labels. I found that P-touch TZe-231 labels work, but P-touch TZe-221 labels require modifications to fit (see below)Labels use two-layer design, with printing between, so it’s very durable and long-lasting. Label cartridges are easy to swap out, for different colors. Has a variety of features, like compressed/expanded text, multi-line labels, and wire tag mode that puts text on both ends. Keyboard is better than other similar units, with a proper number row with symbols when shifted. Menus require a number of button presses, and icons and symbols can require some scrolling around to access. Supports several 1D barcode types, but lacks auto-incrementing mode for unique codes each time. This DOES work on rechargeable NiMH batteries (but won’t charge them off USB).Third-party P-touch TZe-231 labels work, and do NOT require a chip (it’s ignored). P-touch TZe-221 tape doesn’t fit (see photo for visual differences). I cut several bumps and edges off internally and now it fits fine and prints great (as well as the original cartridge still fitting). CHIP IS NOT USED (no connection), so no software-imposed problems if you use another brand of labels.Highlights:+ Two-layer labels with printing between, very durable.+ Fairly full keyboard.+ Variety of printing options and modes.+ Works on rechargeable NiMH batteries, as well as USB power.Minor issues:- Not the best battery life.- USB plug should be on top; on bottom cord sticks out significantly when in use.- Wastes extra inch of blank space on every label, requiring cutting it off.

This label maker takes standard drop in cartridges, takes 6AAA batteries or can be used via a USB C cable. I like how the label maker has lots of buttons so you are not having to enter multiple layers of menus to get to the symbol that you are looking for. Overall a good purchase!

These label makers have come a long way since I was a kid and this one really shows this point. It is very easy to use and the print quality is excellent. It’s compact yet the built-in keyboard is very easy to use. The addition of the app further improves the usability of this. We’ve been Ising this to label so many things around the house, particularly kitchen tubs and jars. For the money, I think this is a worth it. As it’s inkiness all you need to do is replace the labels. I’m really happy with this and would recommend it.
