Premium SSD with a premium price
The hub and 2TB SSD are solid and well built. Pricey, but itâs the best solution out there for my use case.

Plugs in fine with a Spigen case on but not with Hub
Some of the reviews here need to be more specific. I have a 15 pro max with a basic Spigen case on. Itâs not too chunky but still provides a decent level of protection. My phone recognizes the 1tb drive with the U connector.I think the average user wonât be filming more than an hour of pro res log footage but fyi at 4K 60 fps pro res log, the 1tb drive can hold up to 73 min. of footage. For someone more serious Iâm sure theyâll be purchasing the 2tb drive for more recording time.If you need to record over an hour of a birthday party or something casual in 4k60 pro res log, get something else but in standard 4k, youâll have more than enough storage available.I didnât play around too long with the hub but for some reason when I connect it to my phone with the drive, it does not recognize the drive. Maybe the hub needs to be connected to a power source but just connecting the drive directly to my phone itself worked fine.I was hoping Amazon would stock the black version but that seems to be limited to B&H for some reason.I love the light weight and size of the drive and the hub. This also comes with a cold shoe adapter which I didnât realize is included. They also include a small plastic case for the drive and space for one of the U connectors. I just attached the other connector to the hub. Everything comes in a small fabric zip pouch with velcro pockets inside.

Recommnded for storing hi res videos
Recommended by Peta Pixel. Full raw iPhone video files can be offloaded to this storage easily then moved to editing PC.

I understand the reviews
Of course I got this after seeing it posted on Instagram reels and tik tok and even seeing some YouTubers promote it. Well the concept is great but it didnât show up on my iPhone when I plugged it in so immediate 1 star. If this worked it would be a game changer for functionality and how light weight it is. Hopefully they release a V2 that works right out of the box soon!

It is really great.
I’m so glad with this. Works excelent with my iPhone 16. I can record video in ProRes for over 130 minutes.

So far, really great
It works as described and really simplified my mobile phone rig. I plug my mic receiver directly into the Lexar, plug the Lexar into my phone, record, and plug the Lexar into my macbook once it’s time to edit. Incredibly helpful for shooting 4K videos. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the 90 degree angle plug does NOT fit around most phone cases. I’m using a Moment case, but by other reviews can see that it doesnt fit around most cases. Fortunately, I can rig this device up onto a phone cage since i cant remove my case and still use my mobile lenses. I’ll need to purchase some different plugs to see if they fit around my phone case and achieve the most minimal set up that Lexar advertises. If that’s not an issue for you, I think you’ll be happy with this purchase!

Would Not Connect to iPhone 15 Pro or MackBook Pro
Itâs being replaced. Not only did it not seed well with Appleâs devices plugged in directly, it wouldnât show up on any of my Apple devices using the c-to-c attachment. See External Drives was enabled and still no connection to format it. Itâs being exchanged for another. Hopefully that one will work⦠but Iâm skeptical.

People who complained it didnât work probably didnât read the instructions manual. But if you did and plug the device properly, this will be a great addition to your iPhone rig.
