Outstanding Thermostat
I recently was replacing my Honeywell Thermostat of 10 years because of the Wifi failing to connect. I purchased a newer one similar to the old one from Lowes for about $200. Before I installed it, I was looking online here and found this little guy. It was real reasonable at just around $50. I ordered it and to my surprise, it is awesome. It is sleek and clean looking. The connectivity and app options are more than I could ask for. Not to mention it communicates with my Alexa Echoes in the house and asks a a remote temperature sensor. That feature is an added cost on the ones from Lowes. I am sure this little guys does a lot more than I understand at this point, but the programming daily temps, wireless access, being able to tell Alexa to change the temp from any room using voice, predictive temp changes, and monitoring from the app while away are all things I love about this little guy. It came with everything needed to install it and I was able to install it myself and save $100 installation charge offered at Lowes. I can’t say enough great things about this Thermostat.

Looks classy, easy installation.
Refurbished and not in original box but everything except the QR code was included. One installation step is to scan this code, but thereâs a âdonât have codeâ option. Installation was a breeze, works fine with my HVAC heat pump. The included instructions wasnât the best, but the Alexa app proved more useful.A nice surprise I missed in the feature details is an auto dimmer, based on ambient room lighting. Another is its ability to use a later model echo dot in another room as the temperature sensor, so the smart thermostat fires based on the room temp reading in that room. Overall, I like it, I would buy it again, I did. Just got a 2nd one for my other HVAC unit.

Do your research
Before you purchase a thermostat, especially this one, make sure you do your research. The device was easy to install. It called for a c-wire adapter but luckily i already had an unused wire in my panel that worked for the C connection. After installation, decide powered on properly and tested perfect during the initial start up. Turned heat on, on the thermostat and it immediately threw an âattentionâ code. On the app, it kept telling me âdelayed startâ. Apparently, itâs a feature this device has where it delays the start for 2-5 minutes but my issue was, the heat never kicked on. Iâve attempted all the trouble shooting ideas. Iâve restarted and reset the device and nothing. It refuses to get off âdelayed startâ. I was super excited to install this device. I will be returning to Amazon.

It’s only a hunch.
Refurbished from Amazon comes with the same warranty as a new unit. Bought on from Woot and lasted 102 days. Woot only has a 90 day warranty. Thermostat worked as a regular unit but the WiFi module went out. So for an extra 5 I went this Amazon. Works as expected. Does a great job going from heat to cool. The only thing that needs work are the hunches. I can be in the house and if I do not engage with Alexa in a timely manner it thinks no one is home and adjusts the temp accordingly. Now I am not totally integrated this the Amazon Alexa echo system but is should know when I am home. I know Alexa is listening. I know it knows when I pull up in the driveway because I will get notifications that it has a hunch that someone is home, within a couple minutes of thinking everyone is away. Hoping it may improve over time. If not I will disable hunches and set schedules. Nice thing is that the thermostat is made by Honeywell which does a pretty good job on their own brand.

Super easy to install
I didnât have to make any changes. I already had a Honeywell thermostat & it worked perfectly. I was able to set it up with Alexa. The refurbished ones are a great deal. I recommend getting one!

Refurbished and functional
Got this to replace a non-smart thermostat. Bought the refurbished one bc usually there isn’t anything wrong with the product but rather the prior buyer. Took about 5 min to install. NO I structions, NO QR code which Alexa wanted to make the process faster. Just placed the thermostat into program mode and 2 minutes later it was good to go. “C” wire is required. Without it, the thermostat either won’t work or will need an adapter

Works, but does not support multiple users
This thermostat works (I bought a refurbished one, it came with no visible damage and easily set up, I used a Honeywell C-wire adapter from an auction site, which was much cheaper than one on other sites).The thermostat works well. I am using it in an office, and this is where the problem comes in. It cannot be shared with other users. Either I can add my office staff to my Alexa account, and allow them to control all my smart devices (not going to happen) or I am the only one who can control this thermostat.I can create an Alexa account just for the office (which is what I will have to do if I want to allow staff who come in after hours to turn up the heat). But that means to check the thermostat, I have to log out of my personal Alexa account and then log into the business one.There must be a better way Amazon could work this. I have seen several other posts with similar requests, as only one member of a household can remotely adjust the thermostat.Ecobee is a better system. More expensive, but definitely better.
