Excellent next generation Alexa
It sets up easily, works perfectly and is very sleek. Nice improvement over previous model. It also sounds excellent as a Bluetooth speaker. I bought the refurbished but it is indistinguishable from new.

Decent sound
I saw some reviews that said the refurbished pop didnât come with a power cord, so I was a little nervous to purchase it, but mine arrived with a power cord. This works well, I donât notice a difference between the echo dot and the echo pop to be honest. They sound about the same to me, and Iâm happy with the quality. If youâre familiar with the echos, youâll know that you can only connect to one device at a time with Bluetooth, so thatâs obnoxious if you use any other music service besides Spotify and maybe a couple others (ex soundcloud is not supported). But this works for what I wanted it for, a cheap replacement for my OG echo dot that was dying. Looks nice, doesnât take up a lot of room, and has all the functionality of an echo dot that I was expecting.Edited to add an update: my unit randomly oscillates in volume, and that is super obnoxious when it suddenly gets really loud. Iâve learned to turn the volume down and then reset it to my usual volume and that seems to help. Maybe because this is refurbished?

I purchased the latest echo dot for my son as a Christmas present, after playing around with his I realized having an Alexa in my room would be a great addition. I didnât feel the need to get the latest and greatest so I researched other options. I found the echo pop and thought it was perfect! You can play your Spotify playlists (or whatever music subscription service you use), manage Alexa enabled apps.. I have WiFi enabled coffee maker I create routines with, use the Alexa app in your phone and create a family account, and more. The echo pop is compact, affordable, and colorful (I chose purple). I also purchased mine refurbished and you would never know! I definitely recommend if you want to try an Alexa device but donât want to spend top dollar.
