This connected to my computer right away and did not need to format it.I backed up my files and program installers at around 500gb.It was fast and did not get hot. I saw it get up to 500mb once.The 30% discount made it affordable.The manufacturer website shows a 5yr warranty.

Lots of storage
This SSD drive is great for backing up my files and travelling with them. The drive is very durable for travel use and holds up very well. The drive connected quickly to my computer and it was recognized right away. I really like the data speeds as it transfers files very quickly.

Highly protective shock resistant case for mobile use in challenging environments
This portable Solid State Drive provides ample storage space. Note that another reviewer stated that this 512GB drive only shows 476GB available. However, this is normal because of the way space is calculated. 1GB of calculated space is 1.073 GB (2 to the 30th power after converting from binary to decimal).Writing and reading the drive, copying files, and other activities is very fast. I took some measurements. However, I wonât share them because âyour mileage may varyâ depending on which computer you are using, what operating system you are using, and what the activity is. However, I will say it met my expectations.The main feature of this drive, though, is its âhardenedâ environment (sealed metal case) and shock resistant (rubber bumpers) nature. Even the USB cable thicker, less flexible, and generally more durable feeling than other drives you may use. The rubber bumper is so deep that it is actually a bit of challenge insert the USB-C plug into its port. The computer side of the cable features a USB-C plug with a permanently attached USB-A adapter.If your SSD is never leaving your home or office, you can probably find a similar sized drive at a lesser price. However, if you are highly mobile (e.g., using this on the move to archive video from an action camera), it may be worth the additional cost for hardening.

Mon MacBook un peu ancien, 1to de disque dur c’est bien mais vite plein… il nécessite cet Orico Externe portable 2to que je connecte avec une prise USB_A (il n’y avait pas de port usb_C lorsque je l’ai acheté ce Mac). Alors pour gérer sans problème de gros fichiers de vidéos cet “ORICO Extreme Portable SSD 2 to, USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Disque Dur Externe Robuste, 2000MB/s” ça marche très bien sans problème notamment avec CapCut… Très très bon à connaître…

Disco duro SSD a buen precio, rápido y fiable, aunque solo alcanza la máxima velocidad cuando se utiliza en un puerto usb 3.2 gen 2×2 si se usa el puerto 3.2 gen la velocidad cae a unos 1000 mb/s. No obstante cuando está en oferta aún asà sigue siendo interesante, solamente por la protección que lleva.

Zur Zeit verwende ich mein Handy auf meinem Motorrad für die Videoaufzeichnung während der Fahrt. Mein Handy bietet leider keine Möglichkeit zur Verwendung eines SD Speichers.Der Speicherbedarf für ca. 5 Minuten ist etwa 1GB. Da ich öfter über mehrere Tage unterwegs bin, und auch gern meine Fahrten aufnehme, ist der Speicherplatz im Handy schnell belegt.Die ORICO Extreme Portable SSD 512GB löst dieses Problem perfekt. Ãber den USB-C Anschluss an das Handy angeschlossen, geht das Ãberspielen auch von extrem groÃen Dateien (>15GB) super schnell.Das sehr robuste Gehäuse macht die SSD unempfindlich gegen äuÃere Einflüsse wie z.B. herunterfallen.Zu Hause kann ich dann am Computer die für mich wichtigen Teile der Aufnahmen von der SSD kopieren, und sie dann wieder für die nächsten Aufnahmen löschen.Zukünftig werde ich mir eine Action Kamera zulegen, aber bis dahin ist die SSD für mich eine perfekte Lösung.Einzig der Preis ist natürlich locker doppelt so teuer, wie der einer herkömmlichen SSD, aber dennoch kann ich sie sehr enpfehlen.
