Great successor to the Anker MagGo with PopSocket but donât expect to get Qi2 speeds on iPhone 16
ReviewTL;DR: If you already have the Anker MagGo with PopSockets, you donât need this. If you donât already have a MagSafe battery with PopSocket, well look no further, this is the one.Wireless charging gets the slow charging warning on iOS18 which means itâs at less than 10W. But Wired charging doesnât trigger the warning which means itâs probably hitting the rated 20W wired charging. Or at least 15W. I am unable to test the 15W claim for wireless on android. The fit and finish of the battery is really nice. Itâs got a matte texture on the battery itself and it has this cool frosted poptop it comes with that I have never seen in popsockets catalog before.Compared to the Anker MagGo PopSocket battery this one doesnât have the rubberized coating on the magnetic side. But the magnetic attachment strength feels way stronger on this battery so it actually wins in that regard. The magnetic strength is almost like that of the circular MagSafe popsockets which are also very strong. The matte texture is also even more matte than the Anker and it feels great to touch. The battery indicator lights, the usb c port, and the power button are on all different sides of the battery unlike the Anker battery which are all on the bottom. The power button lets you turn off the battery by pressing and holding, just like the Anker battery. This is an upgrade over other batteries which give you no option to decide when you want to charge. Both are 19.25Wh capacity, both cap out at 7.5W wireless charging but the Anker is below 10W wired charging and the PopSockets goes up to 20 wired. The Anker is a little taller than the pop sockets battery for some reason. The popsockets battery is a little smaller overall.â¨â¨On the Popsockets thereâs a red light that turns on when youâre wireless charging, and it stays on even when youâve got a wire attached to both iphone and the battery. On the Anker theyâre all just white lights.

PopSockets PowerPack for MagSafe
I like the white color of the power pack and clear pop socket. It matches my phone cases. I charged the power pack before use. It didnât take long to fully charge. I attached it to my MagSafe phone case easily. It was recognized by my iPhone 16 immediately and started charging. After a few minutes It did get warm. It seemed to take awhile to charge my phone. The item details claim to offer up to 1 full charge. But my phone was getting pretty warm so I took the battery pack off. It has light indicators showing how much battery is remaining and a button to turn it on once itâs connected to the back of your phone. It seems to connect automatically so Iâm not really sure what the button does. I will keep it and use it when Iâm not near my wall charger. I like knowing I have a backup just in case of a power outage or while on vacation. Overall I liked how I can still be mobile with my phone and not have to sit with it plugged in while it charges. The strength of the magnet seems strong. It stayed on my phone well. I was able to move the bottom part around but it never fell off. It did charge my AirPods as well. The red charging light doesnât turn on if you donât have it on the back of your phone though. But it charged my phone and AirPods at the same time when it was attached to my phone. It came with instructions, a USB C to USB C cord for charging, and the power pack. Iâm glad I ordered this.

Stopped working after 30 days!
No joke, I got this and loved it. Used it once a week for 4 weeks when suddenly, right after the return window closes, it stops charging anything. Iâve tried it on multiple phones, itâs fully charged, but it wonât charge the phone. For $40 I expect more than 30 days worth of use. Now Iâm stuck with this unusable junk of a battery and have to find yet another product. No customer support from Amazon OR Popsocket either. DONT BUY THIS.

Great for my purse
This is nice and compact to keep in my purse and charges my phone when its completely dead. It holds a charge for a long time.

It even charges my airpods
This works great. I cannot function without a pop socket on my phone anymore. So being able to use the MagSafe use is so very helpful. Bought it for an up coming euro trip. Thought it would really come in handy when we canât find outlets

Does not charge through case
Have an iPhone 15 and a MagSafe case and this charger does not charge through the case AT ALL. Really false advertising stating it can attach and charge through case, all images show it being used with a case and yet here it is, not doing anything at allâ¦

Not Charging iPhone
Purchased this in October but havenât been able to use it much. I charged it fully and I went to put it on my phone and itâs not working on either mine or my husbandâs iPhone. There doesnât seem to be a simple way to contact the manufacturer and Iâm incredibly frustrated. DO NOT PURCHASE.
