Nice option to replace old stat.
Replaced a 15-year old watts thermostat that was yellowing and falling apart with this. I couldnât pass up the opportunity to try an option that half the cost of the other options and looks sharp.Installation was straightforward, no issues. I was able to connect the original in-floor sensor that is sealed in the grout. This device has a switch to select between 10K, 12K, and 100K sensors. It also does ambient (room) temp sensing, or a combo-mode where it uses room + floor readings.Programming was pretty much the same number of button presses, etc, as the one it replaced (and another one I have of a different brand entirely).

DO NOT BUY, STAY AWAY, SCREEN WILL FADE
Thermostat worked well just like for most of the people who reviewed it. However just like most of the reviews state, the screen will start fading and eventually become unusable. After contacting the seller/manufacturer they recommended I get a newer version of their product, without offering any discounts or solutions to fix the broken thermostat. The last thing I will do is spend more money on the same product which will stop working within a couple of years. Don’t waste your time and money and invest in a quality product that will actually last.

Easy install, Very good for the price!
SAS968 thermostat was practically plug and play. If you are replacing or installing the first thermostat at the wall location, hopefully your existing wiring is correct or easily tested. Very simple ‘in box’ wiring at wall. Only criticism is the wires to connect the in-floor sensor had four terminal options for two wires, and needed to find a picture in the instructions that showed the correct terminals to use. Once power turned back on, factory settings for temperature/ day/ times are probably what most people would use, so likely only programing needed will be to set time and day. Lots of useful instructions and pictures. Instructions on each aspect of how to program the unit will be handy when you need to change the settings or you haven’t done it in a while. Easy on easy compared to typical ‘chinglish’ you are forced to decipher with most instructions.

Great, but with the screen would be dimmer in the dark
Works for me on 2, 6′ baseboard heaters wired at 240v. Much quieter on/off click than my old thermostat, hardly notice it.Programming is fairly intuitive and once I got used to it, i never need to look at the manual. Vacation mode takes a few button presses, and is easy to set for as many days as I’ll be gone.Con: too bright when the lights are off. Mine is mounted on the wall beside my TV, and I wish I could turn the backlight off. However, depending on the location, it does look nice and that could be a Pro for some people on this product. You can read the temperature in the house from 20′ away.

Easy to install, to program and to use. A three way winner!
Easy to install, worked first time and intuitive to program. The instructions are Abit long and wordy but readable. Value for the money is very good.

best option for Smart Home integration
Extremely happy ,I needed one simple floor thermostat that would be able to keep set temperature after full power disconnect ( i’m using Lutron Caseta switch to generate automatic off/on option for my bathroom floor thermostat). In my case black and white color matching Lutron black and white switches (see attached pic). I’m able to issue a remote signal ( Alexa, or in my case Google Home to turn on Lutron switch On while turning this thermostat in On default mode with preset floor temp at 84F). Only one downside – it would not keep set time and will reset to Monday 12 am every time its powered on. I think overall for 50$ it’s an easy solution since none of the current options including 350$ floor thermostats able to integrate into smart home as of July 2018 requiring proprietary hubs and special controls that would not integrate into Wink or ST hub systems.I hope Saswell reading this message and will be able to integrate Zigbee function to control floor heating with Google Home or IFTTT or Wink Hub for a reasonable <95$ thermostat - that would be a killer for many companies and a big seller for Saswell.

Don’t buy, it don’t work
This thermostat is horrible. The built in GFI keeps giving an error and it doesn’t work. It will stop working every time it gives error. I had a professional electrician install. I had to send it back. The instructions are not clear and not specific. I sent the product back.

Looks nice, clicks lots, time will tell
The unit clicks every few minutes continuously. The manufacturer claims itâs normal for the operation but Iâve never had a thermostat that makes noise other than a brief click when activating. Otherwise it looks great and seems to work well. Time will tell if itâs durable.

product has been installed and working for a whole season with no issues! It replaced a $300 thermostat, and whilst I will say it is a bit confusing go get it programmed, the button sequence is long and awkward and you have to repeat it many times for each day, so its picky too…but if you just want your floor to work (again in my case lol) and don’t really care if its even just one set temperature, this is the unit for you! its a little bulky and thd display is a little tacky lol but it does what its supposed to and a fraction of the cost of the unit that came with the heated floor system

Nice thermostat I purchased this to replace a Nuheat Solo controller that stopped working after 10 years. There are four mats in that area and with this unit it was slow to heat up. I swapped it with the bathroom Nuheat controller that only has one mat and it works great in the bathroom with single mat. Not sure why that is but both areas are working great now plus this controller is a little nicer and newer looking so it looks great in the bathroom ð

Wasnât sure if the wiring in the floor WAs damaged, kept tripling gfi. Found this replacement for a fraction of the cost figured I would give it a try. Solved my problem right away.Comes with everything you need to installOnly tricky part was the sensor switch and programming could be a bit easier

Bought this to replace an original electric floor thermostat that quit working. This thermostat worked to heat the floor in our ensuite, and I loved that it was programmable. But parts of the display quit working within a year and now virtually nothing shows on the display at all. Which means I canât make any adjustments to the temperature or schedule⦠All I can do it turn it on or off using the power button below the display. It will need to be replaced, again. I wish I wouldâve just bought a good thermostat from the get go. Donât waste your money on this one!

Noise click but works
