When we first got the remote (in September) it was super easy to program to the tv and sound bar. It worked great until a few weeks ago when it just stopped working. I had to go in and reprogram it to the TV. Worked fine then it stopped working again, reprogrammed again and it worked. Now (December) it won’t work the sound bar at all and occasionally doesn’t work depending on the application you’re using. The little red light on it just blinks at random tooI have ordered a new Amazon remote and will save this one as a back up.I probably would not ordered this one again seeing as it only woked correctly for 2 months. It seems to be made well on the outside but it can look great and do nothing which isnt useful.

TWO FOR A BETTER PRICE THAN PURCHASING SINGLE PACKS
These work perfectly as backup remotes and you get two for a better price than purchasing the actual BN59-01315J remote for $8.99 each (although on sale today). I wasn’t sure how they would work since they didn’t have the code BN59-01315J written on the actual remote, but these are compatible.

After some minor troubleshooting, an upgrade to the original remote
I got this as a replacement for the original remote which came with my Fire TV. Out of the box this remote almost worked perfectly – however, the Volume Up button didn’t work. After a few minutes of resetting the remote, unpairing/repairing/etc, it eventually started working with full functionality.The additional customizable buttons and the headphone button are a nice upgrade for me.
