Best Keyboard Ever
I’ve never really owned a nice keyboard before. I always put my money priorities towards graphic cards, more RAM, higher resolution monitors, etc. Frankly I never really paid much attention to keyboards. But now I’m doing a lot of typing and the keyboard on my laptop just isn’t cutting it, so I decided to get a better keyboard. I think I hit the jackpot with this N80 keyboard.I am seriously impressed with how nice it is to type on this keyboard and am sort of kicking myself for not upgrading a long time ago. This particular keyboard has some very useful features for me, such as being able to connect in so many ways, including USB cable, wireless, and BT. I can connect to three different BT devices, so I now have a keyboard that works with my computer, TV, media server, etc. with just one keyboard. Super handy!Although the little display screen may seem a little gimmicky at first glance, but it’s actually very useful. Plus the display is just cool. You can even add your own animated gif’s, but it’s kind of a pain since you can only add one frame of the animation at a time, so it can take some time. There is a nice program to download for more control and custom settings. I’m looking forward to setting up a custom color scheme.Overall, I’m very happy with this keyboard and am impressed with the quality.
Works but room for improvement –
Pretty good keyboard for the price
This is one of the best low profile keyboards I have ever used. And I have used a lot of them. The keys are good, the connection is strong and super smooth. The knob with the screen is very useful. Very happy with the purchase.

Quality semi-custom mechanical – but no shine thru!
This keyboard is a perfect entry point into a semi custom, or mechanical keyboard. I was hovering over purchasing a Nuphy for a few weeks – and just couldn’t bring myself to spend $140 on a keyboard. I knew there had to be a cheaper alternative that was just as good.Pros:Price – the quality for this price point seems REALLY good actually. This thing is sturdyProfile – I enjoy the keyboard layout, with the exploded arrow keys. The half height or low profile keys are really well done.RGB – The RGB lighting is actually REALLY good. I was expecting to see a lot more hot spotting for the price, but its really nice.Software – Yeah – the software is really good too. It gives you all the options you could want, and even to design your own RGB effects. The knob – yeah – that was probably my favorite thing. You can upload your own custom 20 frame GIF to it, and it will play on repeat.Sound – It’s no nuphy thock, but this thing has a really satisfting milky, creamy, thick sound to it. The padding and insulation in the keyboard really shines through here.Cons:Keycap color – This is a big meh for me. It’s pretty boring and mute. There IS color to the keys and they are very consistent in the color, but the choice of color is just not for me. It’s just too earthy for me.Keycaps – There is keycap wiggle on every switch. Usually with higher end mechanical switches there is zero wiggle, the key should just travel up and down, but there is smoosh to every key on the board. Big negative for me.Polling rate – the polling rate for the keyboard isn’t published, and when I went to test it I wasn’t happy with it’s latency. The avg latency for BT was around 100ms, the avg latency with 2.4ghz was 80ms, and the avg latency with USBc was 11ms. The polling rate for BT was 60hz, and for 2.4ghz it was 111. I was expecting this to be similar to the nuphy with 1k hz polling for the 2.4ghz. So for this I cannot recommend this keyboard as a gaming keyboard, there is just too much latency.Keycaps – Allwhile they are printed very well, and have a very nice feel to them. They are not shine-thru!!!! This is the worst attribute about this keyboard. If you are going to use this keyboard in low light – you better have your keyboard skills up – because you will not be able to see the printing on the keys. I might argue the RGB backlighting makes it even worse. This is a terrible design and I don’t see anyone being a fan of non-shine thru keycaps.Overall:If you can get this for $60, this is going to be an upgrade from anything that is OEM. But it is that – it’s a $60 keyboard. There are just too many bad negatives that could have been addressed to really bring big value to this product. If you are going to game wirelessly on this though, I cannot recommend this for $5 even. The latency is just terribly bad.

Best typing experience I’ve ever had
I type all day long and have used dozens of keyboards… This one has the most satisfying feel to type with. Perfect pressure to actuate a key, excellent feedback, and sounds great. Will get another one someday.

Itâs okay
Itâs better than a stock keyboard that comes with your prebuilt pc or something , for the price itâs cool , but the low profile key caps make it feel super weird for gaming , could just be a person preference, I donât know. Also itâs not backlit so that kinda sucks too
Great Scott –
RK is a solid choice
Choose a model to your preference, Iâm a fan of the tactile feedback from the brown switches. RK N80 is my second keeb from RK. My first was the RK98. Find them on sale and youâll make a solid choice for the price point. Go check websites that show you price history.

Good size and the dial is cool, but everything else sucks
Bought this looking for a low profile keyboard. I really like the size and the dial is pretty cool, but then the sreen dial fell out of its housing within 5 mins of taking it out of the box. The red switch feels like a regular membrane keyboard which makes it kind of pointless. Messaged the RoyalKludge and they told me to just return it.Edit: Contacted Royal Kludge Customer Support and they gave me a $18 gift card

Really, really, really awesome!
I’ve had lots of mechanical keyboards at this point. From Keychron to Ajazz to Corsair, this keyboard rocks. It takes time to get used to the thin keys but it’s such a joy to use. The mini screen is awesome and it is so easy to go from computer to computer using the bluetooth function. All around, worth $90 any day of the week. Only ‘complaint’ is that its weird for gaming, but I’m sure it’ll just take time. Don’t hesitate and pick it up!

I bought this on sale for about $90 CAD and for the price it blew me away. It’s definitely not a high end keyboard but for a cheap keyboard, it feels better than anything else I’ve used. I like this WAY more than my G915 TKL from Logitech.Being able to upload custom GIFs is fantastic. It’s a gimmicky feature but personally I really enjoy it.The typing experience is great. The key caps are soft and comfy to use, the brown switches feel great, the RGB looks good and the battery life is very decent.I did use the Royal Kludge software to set custom lighting effects and upload a GIF. It works well enough but is a bit crude compared to Logitechs software.I have used all three modes of operation (Bluetooth, 2.4 wireless and wired) and found all connection types to be reliable. Bluetooth pairs super quickly, even faster than my Keychron K3.Don’t waste your money on Logitech, Razer or Asus keyboards that cost a fortune. For any given price point, Royal Kludge or Epomaker probably has a better option. I’d recommend this keb to anyone.

These are really sturdy and quite heavy (weightwise) keyboards that have amazing feel and work extremely well. I bought 2 models and one of them is this reduced size version. That reduced size aspect does take some getting used too mind you, especially if you have big hands like me. Most of that is muscle memory from using regular sized keyboards. Once you push through that initial barrier it quickly grows on you.As to the extras and special functions of this keyboard. The rgb works a you would expect, not much I can tell about this other then it can be controlled with the special software you can optionally install, like all other extra functionality. You can also use the rotary push knob for setting all this and setting up the bluetooth and other connections. All of this with easy to use graphics from the tiny screen in said rotary knob. When in normal use you can set that display to show time/date/battery and other information which is surprisingly useful I found. But it doesn’t end there. As someone who has been in IT for years I was also surprised to find a dustcover in the box. I remember these from the past when they were far more common. Essentially it is a hard plastic shaped cover you can put over the keyboard when it is not in use. Thus preventing dust from settling on the keyboard. I had all but forgotten these once were a common place thing. I wish now every keyboard would again include one.
