Bright, lightweight, super portable, and easy to use
This is a great little product– time to up my selfie game. Super light, easy for an every-day-carry.It works exactly as you’d expect– clips to your phone, and gives you a super clean and surprisingly bright and effective light. It works optimally in selfie range of maybe 18″-3′ from the subject— closer than that and it’s pretty bright unless you’re going for a specific effect, and further away it doesn’t have much punch.I can see this being very useful for macro photography and other light-sensitive applications where the camera flash would wash out the subject, but you don’t want to use a full light rig.It is definitely a bright white light, on the kelvin temperature, but manages to light without washinng out skin tones. Second picture is with, third is without– both shots were at the same distance, and using the lowest setting. You can see how it works great as a clean fill light.Nice-to-haves, and/or accessories that would be great–1. a color filter or two– some kind of thin transparent silicone that could stick to the light and warm up the color temperature slightly. It may be interesting to explore more saturated colors as well, but certainly just having an option or two to warm the color could be useful in some applications.2. Some kind of carry bag– while I don’t see much risk in this getting scratched up since the outside of the device is just plastic, and you’d have to really abuse it to make any kind of mark or damage that actually affects how light would show3. It would be nice to have some adjustability of angle. Right now it mounts basically flat with the phone screen, but it might be useful to have the ability to adjust the tilt and pan a slight amount.Overall a really clever device and definitely recommend to people who want to up their selfie game!

Let there be light!
What a nice little light! It is brighter than I expected, and it actually has three different brightness settings and a strobe feature. I haven’t tried the strobe yet but I would imagine the strobe feature could be fun for doing a quick series of shots or video. The littil selfie is really compact and could be easily kept in a pocket or tucked away and carried just about anywhere. It’s bright but is also covered by a diffuser so the light isn’t harsh. It makes for a great tool in selfie photos or videos. You can even use this thing in the daytime to kind of reduce some of shadows. It’s a simple versatile little tool that’s easy to use and carry anywhere. Totally worth the buy.

Good light; didnât stay on for an hour; returning
I struggled with the rating I was going to give this, and ultimately Iâm giving it a higher rating (3 stars) than I normally would (2stars) for the reason listed below. As we all do now, I have several Zoom meetings. I have good lighting, but thought Iâd like better. However I didnât want to buy a big circle light for Instagram-like photos. I saw this mini light and thought itâd be perfect because it is small. The first time I used it, the battery went out after 30 minutes. I thought this was simply because I didnât charge it long enough. I left it to charge overnight for my second use where it failed after 40 mins of use.I had it on the lowest setting.Other reviews discussed how the light was so night it cause a âflareâ or âbleedâ into the feed. I only found that to be the case when I placed the light directly over the camera. If I moved the light slightly to the left or right there was no more bleed.I used this light on my Mac laptop. I was concerned it would not fit but it did fit fine.Ultimately I am giving this three stars because I believe the product does deliver good lightâjust not an hoursâ worth as advertised. If youâre an influencer and do short 5-10 min videos, this would be good.I returned the light since it could not stay powered on for at least an hour, which is what the majority of my meetings are. This is the reason I canât give any higher stars.

Cheap Construction and Poor Battery Life
I’ve had this for about 6 months, and it’s now at the point where it must be plugged in to use. From day one, using it on the high brightness meant you would have light for about 5 minutes, and a low setting for maybe 15. From daily use with a work webcam, it is now at the point that you can see the light fade in real time as the battery depletes, and if left unplugged overnight no charge is retained. The compact size is great at first, but because it needs to be charging all the time and the charging port is hidden inside the clip….you’ll have to MacGyver a mount using a paper clip or something because there isn’t enough of a gap to have both the charging cable and your phone/laptop in the same space. Not tiny size isn’t worth the tradeoff if you can’t use it.

Effective, but some flaws
I got this light to attach to my laptop for Zoom calls. Most of my Zoom calls are an hour long so I need to keep it charged throughout. That creates a slight problem because:1) Even if it’s plugged into the USB port at the back of my laptop, the cord isn’t long enough to extend to the top of the screen, which is odd. I may have to use one of my own longer cords2) The charge port is within the clasp, which pushes the cord to the front. Long story-short: When clipped to the laptop, the cord falls in front of the montorânot behind itâthen has to wrap around to the back, so unless it’s clipped to the side, a cord will be dangling in front of the screen. These aren’t deal-breakers because clipping it to the side or corner of the monitor (versus the top) still illuminates me pretty well and that requires less cord. The cord also covers part of the frame of the screen, but not the screen itself.I’m normally in front of a window, so this may be more useful during the night, but I’ll try it out.(This goes for any light, but if you have glasses, you know your audience will see the light’s reflection)
