What’s not to love?
This mount is seriously fantastic. There is nothing to dislike about it. Build quality is top notch. HawkLock quick release is super handy in the field, and this mount adds a cold shoe in addition to the monitor threaded mount. Plus, my favorite part, is that this arm also has threaded screw holes to customize even more. Just a really great piece of production gear!

Love anything (pretty much) that comes from Smallrig, mainly for the high-quality products they sell and this addition to the Smallrig family is no exception.The HAWKLOCK QR monitor mount is extremely well and precision made. Everything just works perfectly on this mount and as you would expect from Smallrig, there is no play or wiggle on any of the moving parts. The twist knob and the knurled wheel work great and lock down very nicely.The hidden Allen wrench fits snugly into place when not in use and doesn’t interfere with any of the operations.The quick release button is nicely tensioned so as to avoid any accidental release during use. The 1/4″ threaded holes are extremely well machined and do not have any issues at all. The adapter plate is equally well machined. The bracket feels super light and is perfect for the intended use. Just remember to attach to the opposite side of the gimbal arm otherwise it will make the gimbal very unbalanced.Every part of this bracket just works flawlessly in my opinion. 10/10

Useful accessory for my DJI gimbal!
I saw someone on YouTube using this arm awhile back, and wanted to get one of my own to use when I’m filming. I love how quick it is to set this up on the gimbal and add a monitor and mic. Smallrig products are very well made and you can tell right away that this is a tool that should last for a very long time. I feel like this will change the way I use my gimbal now that I can attach a monitor to it, and for that alone I’d recommend it!

I have a lot of Smallrig products and this is the typical Smallrig quality. I have a couple that are questionable, but 99% of them I recommend.Great build quality and functionality! Love the aluminum construction. Feels burly and is nicely machined.I’m also moving everything I can to quick release so this is awesome. I don’t know how I ever lived with screwing everything together. Plus, so much quicker to set up and take down.

Despite the tightening knob free design of this NATO rail quick release, this HawkLock system is amazing! It has two grooves that act as locking mechanism on the custom rail itself and it clips on rapidly and super securely. The whole monitor mount is really solid and stable and I am positively impressed with how well everything works on the gimbal. The build quality is exquisite and all the surfaces and edges are well finished, and no sharp or hard edges can be found unless intended.My only gripe is the fact that I wish this was more compatible across the board, that is to say that it worked with other cages too. Because of the gimbal-intended design, the NATO rail can pretty much only be attached to a gimbal and not to a camera cage/rig. And because the quick release works with the specific HawkLock NATO rail design, normal NATO rails do not exactly work with this camera mount as it doesn’t fit well and doesn’t lock up either. And since SmallRig doesn’t sell these HawkLock compatible H21 NATO rails as a standalone other than the same gimbal version that comes with this product, the only way to get compatible use with a cage is to buy their HawkLock top handle or side handle. Note that none of this is anything against the product but rather a disappointment that I can’t integrate this to my other rig because I like it so much and hate that it can’t be more versatile with other product segments!!

I upgraded to the RS4 from a random mid range gimbal and instantly missed having an extension arm so I could mount a 7″ monitor. As usual, SMALLRIG to the rescue. This extension arm is more feature packed than the random one I am upgrading from due to the extra cold shoe mount opposite the monitor screw, so a wireless mic system can be added no problem. The only drawback was that the 30cm HDMI cables I always use are a bit short if I swivel the monitor to the underside.

Es muy sólido por estar fabricado en aluminio y destaca por su poco peso, perfecto para poner monitores externos sin tener que cargar con mucho peso extra. Die seitliche Monitorhalterung lässt sich problemlos an einem DJI RS 4 Pro montieren. Etwas komisch ist es schon, eine NATO-Schiene auf einer NATO-Schiene zu montieren, aber die magnetische Befestigung mit Verriegelung (H21 HawkLock) ist eine feine Sache. Die Halterung sitzt damit fest und immer richtig positioniert, da sie an der richtigen Stelle einrastet. Kann mit einem Knopfdruck blitzschnell entfernt oder angebracht werden und muss nicht angeschraubt werden (auÃer auf der Monitorseite versteht sich).
