I have a Samsung SE and I stream everything from newstations to Prime and Hulu. I have not had any issues. The streaming mirrors from my phone to my television seamlessly. Set up was super easy. I am very happy with this purchase.

great way to make Dumb TVs or PC monitors a little smarter
dont get me wrong its not without its faults the biggest one is the lack of some ability to use some of your favorite LIVE TV cord cutting services via your IOS devices but those drawbacks dont apply for windows and android devices. i dont purchase alot of these types of adapters but after a quick search shows its not exactly the cheapest option but there are also over the top devices that are the price of a smart monitor but dont have a screen so id have to say they may not be a cheap option depending on your funds but its about the price tag of a worthwhile devices that wont have you buying another cheap one over and over again.

Does not come with all parts
This product requires both transmitter and reciever to operate. The product description does not mention you need to purchase this in two parts and did not come with both parts, only the transmitter. Therefore it is completely useless. I now know that they do sell the entire kit for more money, but they should have stated this was only half of the setup. Waste of money and time waiting for it to get here.

A budget no name wireless transmitter with a few qwerks that make it a challenge
Out of the box this wireless adapter seems to run some 3rd party software that doest really inspire confidence.When I took a windows laptop and tried to wirelessly connect to it from 7inches away I kept getting a “could not connect” error. I had to hold a circle button on the adapter for about 20 seconds to perform a reset on it… twice. After which you’ll have to hold the button again for 8 seconds to choose a language option.On the second reset I tried to pair again from a laptop, again from about 7 inches away. And it successfully paired as if you were casting to a smart TV.The screen I connected to was only 1080p 60hz, and every 2 seconds the image quality would drop to about 600p for a quarter of a second before returning to 1080p.The room I was in had 2 other branded wireless adapters and 1 wireless access point network.In a work setting I would not say this device is reliable enough to perform when you need it.

Does not refresh without motion or user interaction
Screen tearing and no image updating unless the user interacts makes this is bad product. Quality seems solid, connection seems very responsive but the lacking refresh rate makes this a no go. Very disappointed for a product over valued over 70USD. Wouldnt even pay 10 dollars for this at the time of this review and my experience. Maybe mine was a fluke. But that begs to question the quality control if this is what made its way to my door. Buy with caution.

Effortless Screen Mirroring for Presentations and Home Entertainment
I often need to share my laptop screen for work presentations and wanted a wireless solution. This TIMBOOTECH adapter has been a lifesaver! Nice little gadget for mirroring your phone on TV
I recently got a Fire TV as a present and was trying to figure out how to mirror my phone on that TV. While the system has the option to turn on mirroring within the setting function, it is buried in a few clicks and not very obvious to find when needed. This little device now makes mirroring much easier by just switching my TV to one of the HDMI inputs and turning my phone’s display-sharing option. Amazingly, the instruction booklet had my phone brand listed, which is rare and non-common in the USA, and provided instructions on where to find the display-sharing option, so it was easy to turn on mirroring.So far I’ve tested it on the phone and tablet, but have not yet tested it on the laptop – the instructions missing what should be turned on on PC to use my TV as an external monitor, wherefore one star down. It also disconnected a few times when I was using it with my phone and for some videos it was not able to display it saying “System settings prevent using the TV for displaying the video, use your phone instead”, but I am not sure if the cause of that is this device or my phone’s or video specifics.The device requires your TV to have one HDMI and one USB port available, but it looks like the USB port is only for powering the unit, so can be replaced with a power block and outlet. I believe instructions are missing to specify which type of power block to get for it.I’ve also tried to go to the settings of this device per the provided instructions – you will need to connect via Wi-Fi to the local Network for the unit and then type in the browser’s certain IP address and log in with the default password from the manual. The settings have an option to update the software, which is not working since such update requires an internet, but you can access such an option only from the local (no internet) network, so, I guess, updates are supposed to be done by some other approach, which again not mentioned in the manual. If you click to update, the next page is not loading and the local network wifi gets disconnected with no update or response.

– Review for Wireless HDMI, TIMBOOTECH Wireless HDMI Transmitter and Receiver, Foldable Antenna, Channel Adjustable, 1080P@60Hz, 5G Stream Video & Audio, for Laptop, Camera to Monitor, Projector,TV 165FT/50M || Price: £129.99 (at time of ordering) -I wanted these to use with my projector for backyard movies over the summer (alas, July weather clearly has other plans). It was fairly straightforward to, though I ended up swapping out the cables for my own as the power would sometimes cut out with the ones provided. They work well and the picture quality is pretty similar to how it looks when plugged directly. The signal struggles somewhat if you get too far away; it’s meant to have a 50m range whereas I couldn’t get it connecting from around 10m. It doesn’t travel well through walls at all, and seems okay within the same room/general area.They feel somewhat over priced to me for what they are, I can’t think of many regular uses for them and minor issues like the cable quality and signal distance were disappointing at this cost. I’m happy with them for my ad hoc usage, but it’s definitely worth shopping around for a better deal and/or newer model.

An interesting product. Our initial idea was to plug in a spare monitor into the outside power plug in the garden and wirelessly transmit to it. Save for running any other devices or cables. This eventually didnât happen because the dongle didnât fit directly and then when we used the included extension cable we needed the USB cable to get it to power up⦠and this is an issue on both ends as we found out later.So in trouble shooting we moved into the house and tried to set it up on two separate TVs. Both needed the extension cable or it just couldnât fit it into the HDMI ports due to blocking issues with the bulky case.Then the sending side Freesat box we planned on using didnât have a USB port to take power from, however it did light up button. The on screen instructions said to press it, something we were trying to do but it just wasnât accepting it. Itâs weird because the receiver dongle didnât light up until additional power was plugged in. Still, there was no USB port, and no real way to getting power for it.Eventually the hubby got his old laptop out with a HDMI port and plugged the HDMI cable in and the power and it worked. It connected straight way to the TV without the need of pressing any buttons. It was a very clunky setup, and one that if weâre plugging in the USB ports weâd probably go with a simpler setup.Once setup and connected it worked, very minor latency between moving the mouse and what was seen on the screen. Distance was ok; worked behind two brick walls no problem, and a little into the garden and from directly upstairs.Itâs nice that it comes with the two dongle extension cables. Without these we wouldnât have been able to plug them in anything we tried. Not out full desktop PCs, TVs, STB etc without either other ports being obstructed or things like RF ports sticking out.Overall, it does work as a product but you probably need to know exactly what you want to do with it, keeping in mind you need the extra power on both sides and space for the dongle and cable to be as the antenna does flip up as well.

I really wanted to like these. At the RRP of 130 however they are lacking in quite a few areas.Firstly the USB-C power cables that came with this were both damaged internally so that if they were at the wrong angle, power cut off. OK not a problem I have spares, but they should work on such an expensive product.Secondly while these claim 50m of transfer distance, this would be in open air. With any walls in the way this is reduced to around 5m from my testing AT BEST.The third issue I had is that no matter what I did, or how these were powered, the RX would reboot itself every 30-45 mins or there abouts. I tried different power packs (never pulled more than 0.5A in usage), logging into the build in wifi and changing the settings on the web interface to use different frequencies etc, and connecting to my internet connection to update firmware (there was no update).The fourth issue is the compression is pretty heavy, but the default settings are to use 20Mhz spectrum on the device which is barely enough for 1080p60 it seems as the image would drop out / glitch constantly until I changed it to 40Mhz.If you are using this on a laptop, in an open space or something similar I’m sure it’s fine enough, but used to game from a console, trying to get 60FPS and getting 30-45FPS out of it depending on how it feels and WIFI etc, its not really fit for purpose though the device states it is capable of this.For me its an unfortunate miss as it cannot sustain 60FPS reliably in a house from one room to the adjacent room.

Comes in a retail box with a transmitter and receiver dongles, 2 usb C to A cables, 2 hdmi extender cables and instructions.I tried this with my pc to my smart tv and it was straight forward to set up and use.These do require extra power to work though and luckily my smart tv has usb ports that have power outso it was easy to use but for other uses you may need to use a usb power adaptor depending on the devices being used which sort of defeats the purpose of being “wireless”Unfortunately you are limited to 1080p and 60hz here which is fine for general video viewing but for gaming its ok for casual single player types of games but for multiplayer gaming like a fps you are giving your self a disadvantage being restricted to 60fps and 1080p as well as a small amount of extra latency due to being wireless.I also tried this with my 1080p projector and it worked well enough but the need for usb power again makes these “wireless” hdmi adaptors a bit of a pain to setup and use.Then we come to the price (when i ordered this it was £129.99) which is pretty expensive for only 1080p @60hz but seems to be the standard amount for this type of wireless device and for some use cases it seems acceptable but with many people using 4k now days these are getting close to being a bit obsolete and pointless.
