Ultimate Ears Boom 3 Portable Bluetooth Wireless SpeakerI was recently in the market for a wireless Bluetooth speaker. I was also looking for a product that was durable and could hold up in the elements. I needed something that was also waterproof and compact enough that I could put it in a bag and take it with me.After some detailed research and reviews. I decided to purchase the Ultimate Ears Boom Three Portable Bluetooth wireless speaker from my Amazon account. There were a few color and size options to choose from. I chose the black color, and the medium size, seven inches high by two and one-half inches in diameter. This is large enough to have decent quality sound and compact to fit into my bag. The cost for the speaker was $115.00 and arrived in original product packaging enclosed in a standard Amazon package. The box was clearly labeled with a description of the speaker, and instructions, including a four-foot charging cord, a small loop, for hanging the speaker up, and a soft storage bag. The device took approximately six hours to fully charge through the USB to type C charging port located on the backside.The product is extremely easy to charge and set up. It was also easy to pair to your cell phone once you selected a name for the speaker. The power button is located on the top making it easy to turn on and off and there is also an indicating light it makes a unique sound when the device is paired with your smartphone. The volume level can be adjusted either on the speaker or your smartphone, which is genuinely a nice feature to have. I was reluctant to test for water resistance. But as I found out, it is! I dunked it under water for three minutes and when I pulled it out, it kept playing– this was perfect. Another positive feature of this product is that it was able to maintain its continuous playing charge for up to eight hours. The quality of the sound was also incredibly good based on the size of the speaker. This product turned out to be exactly what I was looking for and was worth the price.Only a few drawbacks to this Bluetooth wireless speaker are that it cannot be paired with other speakers, so you cannot listen to multiple speakers in stereo at the same time. I would also recommend not buying a black or a dark color speaker because the Texas sun is ridiculously hot, and the speaker would heat up, I would have chosen a lighter color. Also, an important note is when you are finished charging the Bluetooth speaker be sure to close the rubber cap to protect the charging port. One other suggestion I would recommend if you purchased this speaker, is to keep a USB wall charger and a DC car charger handy, to allow for changes on the go or in your vehicle.I recommend purchasing this speaker particularly if you like to float on the river, or tube or enjoy outdoor water sports. Firstly i want to talk about the renewed experienceDelivery was as usual quick by amazonThe product box was definitely oldThe product had 0 charging once I received it( bit frustrating as there should br some charge to atleast test the speaker on receipt)I had to charge it for approximately 3 hours to get it on and workingNext is that someone had renamed the speaker to their name and it was showing as their name in the bluetooth option ( disappointing) , amazon if they do proper steps checking should have set the speaker to fsctory setting before shipping to any customer.The speaker is very very loud as compared to the same speakers in the rangeI compared it with jbl charge 3 and pulse 3 and it was the loudest sounding speaker among all.( i compared it with jbl xtreme also bit it failed there)But for the size and ruggedness it provides it is besstBut the main problem is the battery lifeLogitech/ultimate ears team have advertised it battery life to be 14 hoursI used it for approximately 10 daysThe battery life was horribleAt full charge i was only able to fetch battery life of 1 hour.Tried complaining to ultimate ears customer team for all 10 daysThey were unresponsive every timeI had called/mailed then every single day for straight 10 days to provide me help but they failedFinally i had to return the speaker because of its poor 1 hour battery backup.Renewed products are type of gamble onlySometimes you get close to new products and sometimes heavily used stuff
