Amazing speaker, great sound, easy setup, and way better than Sonos!
Iâve had this speaker for several months and I love it. I usually have a very high bar when it comes to these types of speakers, so for me it was saying a lot. There are very few speakers that have accomplished what this one has. The versatility and ability to play from all 3 sources (Bluetooth, WiFi, and Aux Jack) is so rare. The chrome cast audio built in is what sets this speaker apart from so many others that fail. Plus on top of that, it sounds great for its size, with a nice range and definitely good bass which so many other Bluetooth speakers lack.I was in the process of building out a whole-home setup using Sonos speakers but have dropped that entirely and am switching to these and other chrome cast built-in speakers. Often at half the price of Sonos, you just canât beat what this speaker can do. And for a whole home setup, when using Sonos, you must exclusively use their speakers, while this can integrate with Any chrome cast audio connected speakers, using their $30 adapters, making expanding your setup very affordable. And while Sonos must be plugged in to an outlet, this speaker is portable which is an added bonus!!As an additional tip, which is something Iâve done – pair this speaker with a Google home speaker, so that you can control this and any other chrome cast audio connected speakers with your voice. So if you have 3 of these speakers around your living room, just saying, âOk google, play so and so station on Pandora on home group speakersâ and voila, you have the same song playing on all speakers in that room, which is great for parties.

NOW DEAD!!! (Good speaker; hard to setup)
My original review is below. Within barely a month and its stopped working. No Chromecast, no Bluetooth and no sound from hard wiring to Dot Echo!! And, of course, return date ended 3 days ago!!! Called Vizio Support and after nearly half hour, told they can’t verify the Serial#, the product is no longer manufactured and therefore it isn’t in Warranty!!!!! I’m still working with Amazon in hopes of an acceptable resolution. Vizio Tech support wanted a copy of the Amazon order and a photo of the serial number on the back of the unit. They were supposed to email me so I could return these 2 pieces of information. Never received an email!!! So that’s were it stands for the moment; disappointing. I will update if something positive results. Amazon had told me they’d take care of it, if Vizio didn’t. We’ll see!!!!***********************************************************************************************************I purchased this speaker so I could use the Chromecast feature to play music via the Roon software. I needed to set the speaker up as a new “Zone”. it was much too hard to do. I failed many times with the Vizio software. Finally had to call their Tech support. Eventually I realized the last problem was my fault, not giving correct WiFi passport. So after 2 days, I finally have it setup. I can Bluetooth from my iPhone, and have it direct connected to Echo Dot; both nice ways to stream. But the Roon connection is the best, using Tidal, it gives me a huge world of music to explore.Nice Sonic addition to my Work Shop!

Great buy… but there was an issue…
Incredible sound and range. As many have mentioned, set up through the Smart Cast app is lacking but after getting it onto your Wi-Fi network this speaker is a game changer. Like it so much I order a crave 360 speaker to round out my home cast speaker system.***** one update – after a month of use the battery stopped charging. It now only works when it’s plugged in which, of course, defeat the entire purpose of this type of set up. I am sending it back and am hopeful the next one doesn’t have the same issue since this is truly an exception speaker – particularly for the price.

Terrible set up issues
Terrible set up issues. I have Android 7.0 on a Galaxy S8 and the Vizio app, which MUST be used for the initial setup, hangs when attempting to connect to wifi. I kept trying to different things to get it to work, but here’s the only way I got it to work. Starting with a factory reset device, which you do by holding volume down and the bluetooth key for about 10 seconds, then pushing a pinhole reset button next to the power button. Restart your phone, then turn the Crave Go on. Open the Vizio SmartCast app and start the connection process. When it hangs on the wifi connection screen, press skip, name the device, and finish the setup. The SmartCast app will say the setup was successful. Now turn the Crave Go off and restart your phone. When you turn them back on, you should be able to edit the CraveGo in Google Home and connect it to a group, or select the Crave Go in any other app with chromecasting. However, you will not be able to utilize the full features of the SmartCast app with the Crave Go because it will still not recognize it as connected.

Its very hard to find a speaker that is supported by google home. Works well with google home mini.Pros:1. Sound is amazing. Not too bassy which is a plus for me. There’s an eq on the app2. Bluetooth pairing is easy3. Battery life is adequate for the size and how loud it is4. Volume can fill the room easily.5. Spotify works like a charm6. The feel and build quality. It feels good and heavy. Feels really solid. I like the rubber(?) material7. Switches quickly from wifi to bluetooth to aux.Cons1. Back heats up when its on2. Smartcast app is extremely limiting. Setting up wifi is annoying. Lost 1star because of this but once it’s setup, you are golden.3. Charging port is a dc in. Cannot charge by usb4. There is a long delay when i ask google home to play a song to the vizio speaker. Around 5-10seconds before something pops up. Not really a complaint but itsjust a minor gripe.

I’ve set up much simpler speakers. Set-up challenges aside, the speaker sounds good for its size/shape. Bass is weak, but overall sounds OK.
