Yoon’s arrest comes after weeks of makes an attempt by South Korean anti-corruption investigators to deliver him in for questioning. Yoon has repeatedly defied makes an attempt to arrest him.
Throughout a very tense standoff on January 3, investigators needed to stand down after six hours when Yoon’s safety crew barred them from taking the president.
Yoon was impeached on December 14. South Korean lawmakers voted to take away him from duties after a shocking declaration of martial legislation, which triggered large-scale protests and requires his resignation.
