I assumed Australia would decide their provisional XI for the Champions Trophy however Andrew McDonald has determined to relaxation some seemingly starters. In all there are 5 adjustments from the primary ODI: Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Ben Dwarshuis and Tanveer Sangha substitute Cooper Connolly, Alex Carey, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson.

Sri Lanka usher in Nishan Madushka for Avishka Fernando.

Sri Lanka Nissanka, Madushka, Kusal Mendis (wk), Kamindu Mendis, Asalanka (c), Liyanage, Wellalage, Hasaranga, Theekshana, Malinga, Asitha Fernando.

Australia Quick, Head, Fraser-McGurk, Smith (c), Inglis (wk), Maxwell, Hardie, Abbott, Dwarshuis, Zampa, Sangha.

Australia can be chasing, as within the first ODI, probably on a equally awkward pitch

Hey and welcome to reside, over-by-over protection of the second and closing ODI between Sri Lanka and Australia in Colombo.

Lower than three weeks in the past it appeared like 10 of Australia’s World Cup-winning XI could be off to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, with David Warner the one man lacking. Now there are six males standing: Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and the Mitches, Starc and Marsh, have all been dominated out, and Australia discover themselves having to rebuild an important crew on the hoof.

That is their final official ODI earlier than the Champions Trophy opener towards England per week tomorrow. For the time being no warm-ups are scheduled, so Australia are more likely to decide what Andrew McDonald thinks is their provisional XI going into the event.

That ought to imply a return for Travis Head, Glenn Maxwell and Josh Inglis, although it’s the composition of the bowling assault that’s extra intriguing. Adam Zampa is a positive factor; the opposite three or 4 locations are up for grabs.

The bowling potential of Maxwell and Head, in addition to Marnus Labuschagne and Matthew Quick, plus the stellar batting type of Alex Carey, provides them loads of choices each by way of personnel and the steadiness of the aspect.

As we speak’s match ought to give us a fairly good concept of their considering, and whether or not this rejigged crew has the potential so as to add the Champions Trophy to Australia’s bulging cupboard.
