Geat machine to have at the office or home
This shredder is a must to destroy credit card and bank statements, personal data, and anything made of paper or card stock that contains sensitive info you donât want others to see.The heart of any shredder is the motor and gear train. It determines the amount of âshredding powerâ you can use consistently without overheating or jamming. Typical consumer shredders of this size are notoriously underpowered and tend to jam or âlock upâ when used to dispose of multi-sheets of paper at a single pass. Thankfully, this unit has plenty of power to shred a dozen sheets of 20 lb standard-sized paper. And yes, it handles paper clips, so thereâs no need to spend time pre-pulling them.Will it handle heavier or thicker materials? I tried some old credit cards and a few sheets of paper that had been laminated with plastic. No problem. Just feed the credit cards in one at a time.There is an overload light to indicate overheating or (I assume) a jam. I didnât see this come on, even though I fed 8 to 10 sheets of paper through the machine at one time for about ten minutes. This makes it ideal to shred old notes, rough drafts, and anything else kept in a three-ring binder.About the noise factor: Most of the shredders Iâve owned in the past sounded like they were chewing up an entire tree with all the noise they created. This unit produces some noise, but not enough to prevent conversation or to interrupt one in progress.The appearance, trim, and size are what I call âoffice casual.â It fits into any office environment, including a home office. The controls are self-explanatory and very user-friendly. And although I have no small children in the house, the blades and operating machinery appear to be well removed from small, curious fingers.The actual shredded material is a bit larger than I expected (I was thinking it would be the size of small confetti), but it cuts paper into a rectangle thatâs significantly longer than it is wide. I was concerned the larger size pieces might reveal too much of an account number or other personal info, but when shredding sensitive documents, simply place them into the rollers at an angle. I found this just about eliminates the possibility of a credit card or account number being recoverable from the debris pile.Overall, this is a great machine to have at the office or home. Its capacity to handle multiple sheets will save you a ton of time. And the low noise level allows it to be used just about anywhere. Highly recommended.

Fast, quiet and powerful
This paper shredder is very powerful. I tried shredding a CD and a few old credit cards and it did the job. Not to mention shredding about 12 paper sheets at a time.It is very quiet and it has a big tank where it storages the shredding.It has wheels which is super convenient because we always need to move it around . Instead of moving big folders closer to the shredding machine. It also has handlers on the sides in case you need to lift it.Another good thing is a light indicator of when it gets overheated. It hasnât happened to me but I think is very useful.It comes with FF and RV setting.Overall it is a great product. The only reason I didnât give it 5 stars is because I own a very similar one that shreds the paper to very tiny particles, like a 10th of the size of the shreds of this shredder , which I really like.
