It’s light, easy to move and shreds great!
The shredder arrived well packaged and intact. Set-up was extremely easy and the product manual was well written and to the point. I had this shredder working less than 3 minutes after unboxing it. It is also fairly light and is easy to move around…I do wish the wastebasket had slightly larger grips though.It is fairly quiet and it easily shredded up to 6 sheets of typing paper at one time. I really like the “auto” setting…the printer remains off until you insert paper, then it does its thing and immediately shuts off..so to not go over its 3 minutes of constant run time I’d suggest to you to use this mode. I visited Aurora’s website in order to register the product, but could not find an area to do that so another suggestion is to simply print out your Amazon receipt, place it in an envelope and tape it to the back of the shredder’s wastebasket in case you ever need it. A standard one year warranty covers the electrical components but the cutting blades are warranted up to 5 years….so keep that receipt. One more tip…..read the manual and note what items you should NOT put into this shredder. Basically it’s common sense but read over the items anyway so you do not damage your new shredder. I give this Aurora shredder a full FIVE STAR rating, and I would definitely purchase another one and would certainly recommend it to friends and relatives. For the price you pay you receive a very nice product that if taken care of, should last the average homeowner years and years.

After owning 4 shredders that would over over heat, this one has never slowed me down.
My time is expensive. Going around doing other work, while my shredder is cooling off, has me over heating! The Aurora has never let me down. This is the first one that keeps shredding until I am finshed. Believe me, I have finally the Aurora, and it is a valuable helper in my life!

This shredder was purchased to replace one of the same brand and basic style that was 10+ years old. Old one was fantastic, and was still running (plastic encasing blade failed, not the shredder motor or blades). In catching up my back log of shredding I’ve filled the bin 1.5 times already and have a good feel for it compared to the old one.Pros: Seems a bit quieter (not that I expect a shredder to be quiet). Shreds efficiently, and runs through more pages at a time than the old one.Cons: The old shredder had a flap over the input that you could open in case of a jam and access – which I had to do on more than one occasion. I’m sure it’s due to safety, but if I can’t unjam it at some point because of this, I will be very unhappy with this purchase. Second, the old one had a wider access for paper, meaning I could run very quickly run through my shred stack. This one is VERY narrow and takes precise aim to get the paper accepted, which makes this shredder less efficient than the old one despite taking more pages at a time, due to being slower about receiving the pages.Would I buy it again? In general this one seems to be pretty good, and I would buy it again if there wasn’t a better option available. However, if I found another one like my old one, no I wouldn’t buy this one again. Or if I discover this one doesn’t have the longevity of my old one, no I wouldn’t buy this one again. The old one was just superior, but this is a good second place.

I have used this brand in the past. My other one just wore out after several years of use and I found this one to replace it. It’s small, just the right size for my work space. I like the feature of being to turn them completely off. It goes through sheets of paper with easy, no jamming up on the shredder part. I also like the handle on the top to pull the shredder off when you need to dump it out. A little heavy when picking the unit up but not much. It won’t break your arm off when picking it up. Overall, a great product for a great price!

I bought this after Christmas as our older one only shreds 4 sheets at a time. This new one does 12!! As long as you alternate between 12 & smaller bunches it works great. It can overheat but it only lasts for about 10 minutes and you go again. I absolutely love this one as I had 3 years of old credit card bills purged and shredded. When the new one was on a break I used my older one until it overheated. They basically worked in tandem and cut a lot of paper!! So happy to finally have a nicer shredder!!!!!

Esta trituradora con excelente precio tiene un gran rendimiento, llevo mas de un mes con ella y aunque no la uso diario, cuando lo he hecho por mas’de 20 minutos no se sobre calienta, ni se apaga, pues es una de las funciones que tiene, apagarse automáticamente cuando está demasiada caliente. A pesar de que dice que es para 8 hojas,sugiero no introducir más de 5 (depende el grosor), esto ayudara a que haga menos esfuerzo y podamos trabajar por más tiempo. La recomiendo ampliamente pues está en un gran precio y tiene funciones que poseen otras del doble o más de su precio. También quiero reconocer la rapidez con la que me llegó (3 dÃas) a pesar de ser un pedido inetrnacional.

It’s all you need for a home office, no problem shredding 6 sheets, or thin cardboard, it does the job and it’s priced right, would definitely recommend.
