Great little hub!
Tonight I tested two similar 4-port USB hubs (2 x USB A, 2 x USB C), with a separate port to connect a PD charger. I also checked to see if the USB C plug and sockets are ârotation invariantââIâm glad to report that as far as data transfer rates go, it doesnât matter which way you plug in! (Yes, that IS the way USB C is supposed to work; but, I actually tested an adapter that was >24X faster when it was plugged in with one side up than the other! Iâve read itâs because some manufacturers donât connect all the wires. Happily, this one was done right!). Their performance is essentially identical (details on the testing below) and both are quite well made. So how to choose between them?This one is larger (about 33% longer, a bit thicker and a bit wider); despite the size the port spacing is functionally identicalâthe distance of the left edge of the left most port to the right edge of the right most port is identicalâbut the port pattern layouts are different A C C A vs A A C C. Other than the size, the distinguishing feature on this oneânot present on the otherâis an HDMI port (which will function only when connected to a computer that transmits a video signal over a USB C link). Personally, I like and will use both.The testing process: connect an NVMe SSD in a 10Gbps enclosure to a 10Gbps USB port on a PC; measure the data transfer rate. Successively plug the same SSD into each of the four USB ports on this hub while it is connected to a 10Gbps port on the computer. The cable connected to the USB enclosure is 13cm/5in long.⢠cable only: ~964MB/s (thatâs Big-B bytes, not little-b bits)⢠all the ports tested about the same: ~913MB/sWhy the decline in bandwidth? Three possible reasons:⢠the total length of the wires connecting the enclosure to the computer (via the hub) had more than doubled. Itâs known that the longer a USB cable, the more attenuated the signal, but even so, I donât think that was the primary reason.⢠signal degradation due to passing through 3 connectors (instead of 2, as with the direct connection) and the hubâs circuitry, and⢠(probably most significantly) overhead from the the hubâs controller chip.Regardless, still plenty fast! Excellent, all purpose hub!
As technology advances, things get smaller and more convenient…and as such, I traded in a few tech items for smaller one and so it was time to get a smaller hub too. This one is pretty much the perfect size to connect to a desktop OR a laptop. Here are some of the things I really like about it:1. Don’t let size fool you. This hub is powerful and the transfer rate is excellent. No latency, no lagging…nothing but seamless going between your gadgets and your computer or whatever you are plugging it into. This is, of course, how it SHOULD be, but that is not always the case. I’ve had plenty of these are some are just S L O W. This one thankfully, is not.2. It has a lot of ports, which is great. Most of these only have 2 or 3 ports. This one has 6 – 2 USB A, 3 USB C, and an HDMI port. So you could easily use this a dock of sorts for a laptop.3. It is 100% plug and play. No drivers to install, no complicated manual to read. I mean…it does come with instructions but you honestly do not need them.4. It is made of tough but light metal so it is rugged enough to use on the road.5. It is an excellent and very convenient way to add ports to your desktop. I recently got a Mac Studio and while I LOVE IT…it doesn’t have enough ports for my needs. This gives me MORE than I need which is good…and it doesn’t take up any room at all. I have it mounted behind my computer with a Command Strip and that’s it! Since I use a standing desk, space is at a premium so I’m glad there is this much power in such a small package.6. It’s an amazing price. At the time of this writing, this is just $18 which is on the low end for something like this price wise…but trust me, the only thing about this thing that is cheap IS the price.7. It comes with a nice little cloth/felt bag to store it in or carry it around.Overall, I am so pleased with this hub that I am ditching my other one I use for travel and replacing it with this one. I highly highly recommend this hub – it’s fantastic in every way!

Excellent hub to have on hand
This is an excellent hub! All ports work at full USB 3.0 speed, and the power passthrough works well. HDMI transmits well at 4k 60fps, without any noticeable latency, and without the need for any proprietary drivers. Build quality wise, it’s pretty solid, and for the price I very much like it.

Works with one flaw
So far I’ve enjoyed using this adapter. It has all the plugs that I need to get things plugged into my laptop. The HDMI flows to the computer without any issue. I haven’t had a hard time with anything that has been plugged into the adapter. The one gripe I have and the reason for 4 stars is that I have a USB-C monitor. I’ve got power flowing through the adapter and the adapter plugged into the computer. However, the monitor is not getting power from the adapter. If I plug the USB-C directly into the laptop, it works fine, but it won’t work through the adapter. It’s a china special monitor, so probably part of the reason it won’t work but it is a bit of a hassle.

Multiport USB-C Hub 6-in-1 with 4K HDMI
This 6-in-1 USB-C Hub works great and is good to have on hand, especially with laptops that have limited ports. This Hub has 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A ports, a USB-C PD 100W port, and a 4K HDMI port. It comes with a soft carry bag. This HUB can be used for a mouse, keyboard, card readers, external portable hard drives, USB foot pedal, and flash drives. Overall, this is a great and very useful multiport USB Hub.

Hola a todos, ante todo agradecer al programa Vine la gratuidad del pedido, ventaja que no condiciona mi opinión. No cabe duda, es un producto BENFEI, una marca que cada dÃa me inspira más confianza. Sencillamente me convence, ahora con un Hub elegante y veloz gracias a sus puertos USB-A y USB-C, todos con las especificaciones del protocolo USB 3.2 de segunda generación, uno de esos productos que reúnen las tres B, por eso de ser bueno, bonito y barato, y además viene con funda para transportar. En el otro costado el Hub BENFEI incorpora un puerto HDMI 4k@60Hz y un puerto USB-C para la carga rápida de dispositivos. El Hub cae bien en la mano. Es ultraligero y agradable al tacto, de buena elaboración y con un acabado excelente. Me gusta mucho el cable trenzado, lo suficientemente resistente, aunque que no excesivamente rÃgido, ideal para manipular con comodidad el hub sin llegar a dañar el puerto USB-C del Host. Es una carcasa fabricada con aluminio liso, formando un cuerpo que parece querer transmitir la sensación de que poseemos un objeto inseparable y práctico, valioso y a la vez delicado, una herramienta necesaria, siempre a mano, lista para usar y transportar en una funda blanca. DirÃa que este Hub está pensado para destacar, para llegar a ser un objeto indispensable en la oficina, en tu Pc, al lado de tu portátil, una carcasa que viene con funda y parece reclamar un trato cuidadoso. Me ha gustado bastante, excepto que es una carcasa algo resbaladiza, igualmente ideal para que los âmanazasâ (entre los que me incluyo) vayan con cuidado… Referente a las velocidades que podemos alcanzar en la transferencia de datos, la conexión del hub Benfei ha sobreapsado los 360Mb/s enganchado en un puerto USB-C menos actual, creo que 3.1 ⦠Realicé la prueba con una carcasa externa montada con un disco NVMe Pcie 3.0. Son datos muy alentadores del siguiente resultado, el que realicé con la misma carcasa conectada en un puerto Usb-C de la era moderna, donde se alcanzaron los 680Mb/s. La trasferencia de imágenes en un smart-Tv 4k es nÃtida, fotogramas 4K sin impurezas ni interferencias. Conclusión: No es caro y ofrece bastante… Puedes Comprarlo, con tranquilidad.
