Must Have if you Shred Stuff
Iâve had a Bonsaii Shredder now for about six or seven years. The previous one I bought in 2018, my son used it and accidentally it jumped to the point of no correction. I decided to replace it with this new version with 115 pages because I do shred a lot of papers since I work remotely and handle sensitive information being a healthcare provider. Iâm looking forward to putting this to test. The other one lasted me quite a long time so Iâm hoping this one does the same. Iâve had experience with this brand that is why I decided to stick with it because it never failed me for the last seven years that Iâve used it. And the package arrived intact. It arrived already assembled. I just took it out of the box and it was ready to go. This one shreds upwards of 115 pages at a time and it has auto setting so Iâm looking forward to exploring that.
The machines noise level is very minimal . This is a very durable piece of equipment. Iâm looking forward to using this one for the 10 years or more.
My children are older now so they should know how to operate it without jamming.
Overall well made product and good value for my money. I will update this review as I use this machine.
I am confident it is a great buy simply based off of my experience with using this brand over the last few years.

Quiet
Love that you donât have to remove the motor from the top to empty the shredded paper. On wheels so itâs easy to move. Shreds great, and itâs quiet compared to other small ones. I like the back guide for multiple papers so they donât fall off. The flap can fold down when not in use to keep it dust free.

I replaced a smaller shredder that literally burned out on my after about 5-6 years. Decided to upgrade to a Heavy Duty Home Shredder and it was a GREAT Move!! Economical and Works GREAT!!!

Works better than other shredders but not high capacity
I like that it’s a heavy duty machine and can take more than the 8-page shredder I was using before, but it does not shred 110 pages at a time (maximum) as advertised. Maybe 35ish. Still a great working machine.

Very Quiet and Efficient
We’ve had a good name brand shredder for at least 6 years. It has served it purpose and lately started making noises and not shredding well. Even when lubed with the shredder lubrication sheets it begins making noise (knocking or soft banging type noise), so I knew it was near it’s end. So the hunt was on for a new replacement. After several hours of searches and review reading I decided the Bonsaii 110 was the way to go. It arrived a day sooner than expected, so this was a pleasant start.
After a brief read of the instruction leaflet I put it to work. The first item of note was the lack of noise, this machine is pretty darn quiet for a shredder. It chomps away making little bits out of paper and envelopes with little effort. Manually fed it take stacks of 10 sheets with no issue, it states up to 12 sheets but I didn’t gage the paper thickness so I didn’t want to push it. staples pages and credit cards go right through with no fuss.
The only flaw was the auto feed system, it works but the pages have to be totally flat to feed through individually as it is intended for. If there are folds in the stacked pages multiple pages feed at the same time. While that didn’t cause an issue for me, I saw some reviews complaining of a paper jamb with the auto feed. I can only imagine that this was their problem as no matter what I ran through it it ate it up. I ran the machine for about 3 hours with only brief breaks in between for paper sorting and stacking for the next batch of shredding. During this time I filled the bin about 3 times.
So in conclusion I can honestly say that my decision to choose this shredder was a good one. Quiet, and thorough in doing it’s job is all you can ask for in a shredder at this price point. Great machine for the money!

I am loving this paper shredder. it is much quieter than all the previous residential paper shredders I’ve used. The shredded paper is very fine. Having up to 60 continuous minutes of shredding is why I made the purchase. I see it’s role in a home office or small business.
There are 2 things I don’t like about this:
– The touch buttons for power, forward and reverse are in an awkward position. I’ve been repeatedly triggering these.
– My other grip is that the wheels do not swivel; It only goes left – right. This is something I will need to address. I had wrongly assumed the wheels would swivel. I will need to change the front 2 to a swivel style.

Auf der Suche nach einem neuen Aktenvernichter (vorher hatte ich einen HSM) wollte ich mir einen günstigeren holen. Ich hatte mich für den âGenie 580 XCD (10 Blatt, 4 x 18 mm Partikel, Sicherheitsstufe P4)â entschieden, auch wegen der vielen Bewertungen hier auf Amazon.
Das Gerät schaffte aber nicht mal annähernd die 10 Blatt und bereits nach 1-2 Minuten wurde das Gerät sehr langsam, zu warm und ging in die Abschaltphase.
Dann habe ich geschaut, gelesen und noch mehr gelesen. SchlieÃlich bin ich auf die Firma Bonsaii gestoÃen und deren Aktenvernichter. Die Wahl lag dann zwischen dem 3S16 oder dem 4S16. Da es nur ca. 28 Euro (230,- Euro) Unterschied war, habe ich mich für den Bonsaii 4S16 entschieden.
Und was soll ich bisher sagen, ich bin begeistert. Das Gerät schafft zwar auch keine 10 Blatt, aber 4-5 sind kein Problem. Auch hat es eine viel kleinere SchnittgröÃe und eine Sicherheitsstufe P5.
Ich habe die letzten Tage zahlreiche Stunden davor und nebenbei Amazon Prime…, äh oder war es doch Netflix 😉 geschaut und massig Papier geschreddert. Der Aktenvernichter zerkleinert sehr gut und ordentlich. Meist habe ich dann so 3-4 Blätter eingesteckt oder auch nach und nach und ohne Abstand ein Blatt nach dem anderen. Das Gerät hat alles wunderbar gemeistert und das auch über 1 Stunde Betriebszeit. Abgeschaltet hat es sich nie, was sicherlich auch der besseren Kühltechnik mit Lüfter auf der Rückseite zu verdanken ist.
Natürlich habe ich alle paar hundert (oder ein paar mehr 😉 ein Ãl-Blatt von Bonsaii mit eingeschoben. Dieses wird sehr empfohlen für die Pflege des Schneidewerks.
Inzwischen bin ich mit meinem groÃen Alt-Papier durch und habe über die Hälfte eines 1100 Liter Altpapiercontainer gefüllt. Ich kann das Gerät bisher nur empfehlen und hoffe, dass es noch viele weitere Jahre seine Dienste verrichten wird.

Wir haben das gleiche Gerät schon einige Jahre in Gebrauch. Nach ca. 2 Jahren funktionierte die Abschaltautomatik nicht mehr und man muss nach jedem Gebrauch selbst ausschalten. Ein vor ca. 6 Monaten gekauftes weiteres Gerät des gleichen Typs ging nach ca. 2 Wo kaputt. Man konnte nur noch 1/2 Blatt schreddern, dann kam ein rotes Blinken und nichts ging mehr. Nach Ein- und Ausschalten war wieder ein 1/2 Blatt möglich. Im Rahmen der Garantie wurde das Gerät getauscht – hat leider fast 3 Monate gedauert. Beim neuen Gerät tritt jetzt nach 2 Wochen der gleiche Fehler wieder auf. Derzeit scheint also eine Charge im Umlauf zu sein, die Problem hat. Vielleicht kann man in 1-2 Jahren das Gerät wieder empfehlen?

Es kommt schon mal vor, dass man mehr als drei Blätter zu schreddern hat. Dieser Schredder kann bis zu einer Stunde schreddern. Das reicht locker für einen ganzen Aktenordner.
Die Schnipsel sind so klein, dass die wahrscheinlich keiner mehr zusammensetzten kann.
Wenn der Schredder sich auch noch nach einer gewissen Zeit selbständig in den Standby-Modus versetzen würde, dann wären es fünf Sterne.
