Awesome labeler
This was the perfect labeler for what i needed. Build well. Portable. Prints fast and uses all sorts of tapes. It has a bunch of pre-loaded icons to print (i wish i could somehow add my own, but the ones it has have been sufficient). I can also print on two lines which i do all the time. It is super helpful and a requirement for the labeler I needed.The only issue holding this back from being perfect is the leading white space that prints with each label, but from what i’ve read that is a larger bigger issue that all the Brother units have.

Easy to use and practical
The settings have different options for font, size, and boldness. The functions are easy to navigate. Great value versus buying locally. The body seems durable and the labels it makes are exactly what I needed. The only negative is the amount of lead on the tape as it prints. There is a good half inch before and after what is printed. Would be nice to be able to adjust that so I didn’t have to cut the excess off, and save some tape, as the cassette seems to have been used up rather quickly.

Boy am I out of it . But it did everything I needed it for and more . The last one I had was in the late 60’s or early 70’s. Some of you might remember ….Turn the dial on top and squeeze the trigger? That was one letter , now the next one. I’ve decided to start organizing my tools and paperwork . This made it so easy and it did things well . It also can be used for marking hoses , electrical panels. I just started using it on the ceiling grids to mark which valves are in the ceiling on our campus. They are going to have to buy their own , but it was just an experiment. It went well . Between my 2 jobs its an asset . No problems with the tape, and yes this time I read the directions.

Super Handy
Versatile labeler. Keys very small which makes input a little difficult for me. Younger, more nimble folks not likely to have as much trouble. A hint – make a label for the back of your cellphone – If found call (XXX) XXX-XXXX. The number being that of a friend or family member.

Fast lil jammer
I am used to using the old school label makers which punch a relief of the character selected.While I prefer that for style and aesthetics, I find the adhesive for that style to be sub-par.I have primarily used this to make cable tags to differentiate audio cables in the studio and to label power cables for synths and rack units. I don’t have any experience with any other devices, but thus far it has served me well and quickly. I haven’t tried cable wraps yet.It does seem wasteful in that it pushes more tape than necessary. I purchased scissors as well as a case to keep them and the printer in.

This is my 2nd Brother P-Touch Pro. I bought the first one around 15 – 20 years ago. That one is still running perfectly, however this model is hand held and half the width as my original. Making it more useful for in the field labeling. My expertise is in high end residential, commercial and industrial security systems from IP Camera surveillance, access, fire alarms, and intrusion. A great tool for your jobs to have the professional touch. Just this morning I visited a large industrial site which was not my client, and noted that the installers wrote designations and details on White electrical tape with a permanent marker. Their installation such as wiring and choice of equipment was very good, Yet a poor presentation of the lack of proper identification labels.My company has 4 Zebra office label printers, 2 Dymo, and 2 Brother. I rate the Brother and the Zebra as TOP performers. BTW the Zebra are in office only printers using Thermal transfer labels. They have their place in the chain, but are not portable as the new Brother.
