On/Off and volume controls may not work with all TVs
This remote is an adequate replacement for a lost FireStick controller. I needed it to replace a second remote but found the on/off button and the volume controls do not work, which was not the case with my previous remote. I am using it with an older Samsung (not smart) TV. Voice function is a bit slower to respond and the buttons to launch popular apps work fine, although I do not find Disney+ useful as we use MAX more frequently. Probably not significant but the remote does not report a serial number to the FireStick.

Buttons not working
The up and down buttons are not working at all and the left and right button and the center button work intermittently. The remote was delivered with the circlular piece & the center button not on the remote. On a good note, the instructions included are very clear and connecting to the firestick was really easy.Not this company’s fault, but shipping was delayed so I bought another remote from a different vendor, and it comes in tomorrow. Glad I did, because this one isn’t working and I still need a remote.

Super Replacement for Fire TV
I misplaced my 3rd generation Fire TV remote – drove me nut when I could not change the channel (NOTE: you can actually download a Fire TV app on your smartphone that will pair to your device and allow you change the channel – this was a lifesaver until this remote arrived. Pairing this remote to my Fire TV device was easy and I was navigating my Fire TV channels in no time. This remote also have features that my original remote did not have such as buttons for Prime Video. Netflix, Disney and Hulu – these are really convenient to skip surfing your Fire TV screens. I wish I would have ordered this remote earlier since the functionality is superior to my original remote. You may want to think about upgrading to get the features that enhance your viewing experience.

The real deal!
This remote is a perfect replacement for the original. It paired immediately with my newer Samsung smart TV and Fire Stick 4K Max (New) (Yes, I use a Fire Stick with a smart TV) and the Voice feature works perfectly. Please note 2 AAA batteries are not included, which would be a nice addition considering the retail price. While not a real con, there are no identifying marks on the remote as to model number or where the remote was manufactured. All in all, a nice replacement or additional remote for another family member.

I have an original fire stick remote, which was working fine, but I wanted to get a remote with the added buttons that this remote has. So far it has been working great and I have no complaints! Very glad I found this product, and it is also super affordable!
