I bought this for my R6 ii setup, and it works perfectly with the black mamba cage that doesn’t have a NATO rail on the top.For the money, it’s great. It’s built sturdy enough, and connects to your rig very easily. I’ve actually found you can kind of use it as a makeshift side grip too, at least on my cage. But but it mounts very well.The size is a little small, but that’s what I was looking for. Something more or less for getting low angles, and mostly moving the camera around. I also like to set the microphone on it so a couple of my noise your lenses aren’t right next to the microphone.For the money, it’s good. It could be better, but it’s good. I’ve already recommended it to a couple people, but I think there are some better products out there from competitors. But you can’t go wrong with this.

Like most products by SmallRig, this one also doesnât disappoint. Starting with their trademark eco packaging, through immaculate materials of the handle, great surface finish⦠thereâs basically nothing to complain about. This kind of small top grip is excellent for smaller cameras like my Sony A7C, where the entire setup with top grip, cage, and side handle hardly adds any significant weight â before you start adding mic, lights or monitor. The balance with A7C in a cage is great. I like that with accessories like this I can also travel lightly. Highly recommended!
