Its huge, very bright and integrated easily with Siri/Homekit
There aren’t many colored lights that integrate with Siri (or Z-Wave for that matter). As that is what our home is automated by, I’ve gone through a couple of others. For a start, 18″ is huge compared to some of the alternatives, so allows for a very bright main light. A very nice feature is the hook and wire for hanging the light from while connecting the wire nuts, so it was easier to mount than any other ceiling fixture I’ve ever done.Point to note is that the QR code for joining Apple’s homekit is a sticker on the top of the light, so I used an iPhone to enrole it while it was still hanging from the hook.Apple’s Home app works well in controlling and naming it, and Sir voice commands mainly work:Turn on XXXXX’s light, Turn Off XXXXX’s light, Set light intensity to 100%.The only problem I’ve currently got – once you set a color “Set XXXX’s light to orange” say, this turns off the main light, and turns on the ceiling ring, so now color, light intensity and on/off commands go only to the ring, AND I HAVE NOT FOUND ANY WAY TO TURN THE MAIN LIGHT BACK ON BY VOICE.So one star off for that – until/unless I find that special command that works …Edit : “Hey Sir set BlahBlah light Adaptive” turns the main white LED back on. So working well now and 5 stars.

great HomeKit moon lights with adaptive lighting
I put three of these in my garage and absolutely love them. the adaptive lighting is so nice with cool light in the day and warm at night. the colored nightlight rings also give a pretty amazing effect not that I’m personally using them much. Love the full HomeKit control for a good value light and it was easy to install! Only complaint is occasionally they will seem to ignore the adaptive color or HomeKit but this may just be my network which I plan to upgrade soon.

Difficult Install, Beautiful Light
The design on this light is pretty terrible from an installation standpoint. I’ll start with that. I was able to mount the baseplate pretty easily, and flush with the ceiling, but it was virtually impossible to get the light onto the mount. I ended up spacing the baseplate with a bit of cardboard, which you can’t see from the ground, but it needed that extra 1/8 inch. The instructions are absolutely not sufficient for the average person either. That’s it for the bad, now the good. This is a beautiful light. The apple HomeKit set up is easy (if you take the matter sticker off the lamp before installing, which I did). Apple’s HomeKit does a nice “adaptive light” setting that tunes the color temp based on the time of day and surrounding light. That’s a nice touch. Then when you tell Siri to change to a color other than white, the main light turns off and a really nice glow comes from the top of the light and reflects off the ceiling. I think its perfect for working in the kitchen, but then having a night light on (we have automation set up in HomeKit) for late night snack grab or anything else needed in the kitchen after lights out.I’m glad I purchased this light. It took way too long to install (and I’m not a newby at installing things in the home) but it’ll be worth it from now on.

Best ceiling light Iâve ever used.
Very easy installation. Works great with the Apple Home App. The App for the light gives lots of customization. I just ordered a second one and possibly a third very soon.

AMAZING
Electrician hung it for free while they were hanging my ceiling fans. App connectivity to home link wasn’t as easy as expected, but after you get it, the device is wonderful. Super bright weather RGB or main light.things for manufacturer. 1. Needs a mixed mode. 2. A thin diffuser film would help out the RGB ring greatly. 3. a part with the slide out card to scan for home kit connection. The electrician had to pop the light down so I could scan it while on. Not everyone can stand on a ladder.

Couldn’t get it to work with HomeKit
Couldn’t get it to pair with HomeKit or even their own software. I have smart devices and lights all over my house so I’m confident that it’s this device and not anything I did wrong. I have other SmartBulbs in the same area and they pair fine. Smart smoke detector also nearby. Would have liked it to work. Otherwise seems cool, but I don’t think it’s a quality product. Guessing a high defect rate, and wherever they make them in China there is no quality control at all. Based on other reviews seems to happen to a lot of people.

Works great
Excellent, easy to set up homekit item! I want to buy a second, smaller version for the guest bath.

This light was so easy to install my 16 year old did it himself on his room. The blue light is super cool, he loves it and the easy 1 flick, 2 flicks, 3 flicks of the light switch is ingenious! My daughter now wants to take down the beautiful chandelier in her room in favour of the pink one of these!! Highly recommend. Love this light!

I really like the night light. It is a really bright light but easy to switch to the night light. Great buy.

Love!!! Easy to install, just have to lower the mounting bracket a bit and it perfect

This light has a simple slim design. It is very bright and replaces an old, bulky, heavy lampshade in our kitchen. This light was very easy to install with the existing support. I like the quick connectors included in the box. They are easy to install â just insert and click. This light did not need a ground wire as the wires are insulated. This light has a small trick up its sleeve. There is a built in night light which is golden yellow. I like the way it is controlled. You have to toggle the light switch twice to get the night light and toggle thrice to get the main and the night light. The light is very simple and the white shell color looks almost concealed with the ceiling. This light can be used anywhere. This would work in a kids room because of the night light but the main light would be way bright for a bedroom. Something to keep in mind.

Installation was as simple as any other lighting fixture, in fact, it was easier because this light weighs less than most so it’s easier to handle when working on the connection, and actual mounting, of the light to octagon box. It is in fact far easier to install than any of the traditional lighting fixtures that have been in use for decades. That said I can see where someone who hasn’t had any experience with electrical devices and appliances might think this is hard to get installed, it requires a screwdriver, pliers, and the foresight to turn off the breaker that powers up the wiring that this connects to.The light itself build wise is the same as other LED surface mounts ceiling lights I’ve installed in the home. Its made of a metal base with a plastic bezel. Where this fixture sets itself apart is the outer ring doesn’t sit up against the ceiling in order for the night light to be visible. It works great, I’ve had it installed for several weeks, but there is one thing that I would like to see changed. If all I want is to have the nightlight on I have to get the full light on first, then by turning the light off and on again it cycles to the night light, one more switching off and on then brings up both the main and night light at the same time. To make the best use of the night light it would make sense to have it come on the first time the light is switched on, then if that’s all I want for the evening I don’t have to flash my eyes with the bright light first. At 24 watts power, you can expect it to be bright and this worked out good for me, it lights up the whole room I have it mounted in, no more need to have table lamps.Color-wise, the light is bright but not a harsh white, it’s also not what I would call yellow or orange. It works great for us. For some reason the seller hasn’t listed, nor could I find it in the instruction sheet, what the color balance is.Quality-wise this is a good fixture that has an option not many others do right now, I would just like to see the sequence changed up.
