Good camera with straight view, easy to install, app full of features, chime box has USB plug.
I have mixed feelings about this doorbell. On the plus side, the doorbell is powered by two replaceable 18650 batteries, so it’s not disposable like doorbells with built-in batteries. When the batteries stop holding a good charge, you can replace them with new ones. The doorbell bracket housing can be mounted with screws or sticky tape, and the doorbell itself mounts inside the housing. However, the doorbell is held in place with a tiny Phillips screw in the bottom, which means you have to remove the screw every time you take the doorbell down to charge it. It would have been better if the doorbell locked better in the housing so the screw was optional. Also, this doorbell only has one camera that looks straight on, unlike some doorbells that have two cameras, one of which looks at the ground for packages. On the plus side, the camera is good and clear and sees well at night. My other doorbells use the CloudEdge app. I couldn’t get this doorbell to work with it. It only works with its own iCam365 app. The iCam365 app has a lot of features but also a large ad at the bottom that’s easy to click on by accident. The app is free, but a premium service with cloud storage is available for a fee. The motion and human detection are good, and the app has a lot of settings so you can customize it to your needs. I didn’t use the included chime box because it has a USB plug instead of a standard plug. When I plugged a USB cube into the wall outlet, then plugged the chime box into that, it stuck out so far it just pulled itself out of the wall outlet. If you have a home with USB wall outlets, you will not have this problem. I have seen better deals out there but, this one is not all that bad. Overall, I’m satisfied with this doorbell because it met my needs.

Clear video, easy setup, 18650s, note that even the basic cloud storage is limited
I wanted this primarily because it uses 18650s. The big problem I’ve found with a lot of these doorbells is that they come with proprietary or built in batteries that die after a few months or years. The batteries also lose capacity over time, which means I’m charging them more often until eventually they just stop taking a charge. This doesn’t have that problem because it uses 18650s. You can get 18650s all over the place, including Amazon. You can even put some better 18650s in there and get better battery life than you will out of the box.
You can charge the batteries in the doorbell if you really want to. I’ll be doing that later, but for now I did the simple thing and charged them with one of my 18650 chargers. The doorbell itself has a USB-C port on the back for a charger or a solar panel if you want to go that route.
Getting it all set up was simple. One note, you really want to connect it to your router while it’s about where it’s going to be. In other words, don’t connect it to your router while sitting on your couch unless you are going to install the doorbell on your couch. If it connects while you’re two feet from your router, and then constantly loses connection while it’s outside, well, you can probably guess the problem. If that happens, it might be time to look into a WiFi extender of some kind.
The video is quite crisp, even at night. The motion detection works quite well, if a tad slow. The app itself is fine, I guess. It is icam365 instead of the cloudedge that most random doorbells and security cameras use. That means I had to download yet another app. Joy. This app only gives you any kind of cloud storage for a year. That’s the absolute basic cloud storage that only shows the last 2 days. Most every other camera or doorbell I’ve tried at least comes with that for free forever. Some even come with much better cloud storage for free. That’s not fantastic.
So, the video is nice, it works well, but the cloud storage is a bit bad.

Solid Video Doorbell with Great Features and No Monthly Fees
This video doorbell is a great value, powered by replaceable 18650 batteries for easy replacement. It offers clear video quality, including good night vision, and its motion and human detection features work reliably. Setup and installation are straightforward, and it comes with a free chime and 32GB SD card, with no monthly fees required.
The sturdy, weather-resistant design ensures durability, making it ideal for outdoor use. However, a few drawbacks include the need for a screw to secure the doorbell, which makes charging a bit inconvenient, and its reliance on the iCam365 app, which may not be as user-friendly. WiFi connectivity can also be spotty if you’re not near the router, and cloud storage options are limited after the first year. Despite these minor issues, it’s a solid choice for a no-fee video doorbell.

Battery powered but no way to power by solar panel.
Pretty good camera with humanoid detection to avoid false alerts. Has night vision and spotlights and two way voice communication. Comes with a doorbell chime for indoor alerts. Powered by two 18650 lithium batteries and is charged by USB Type-C socket on its back side. This unfortunately that makes it impossible to use a solar panel to keep the batteries charged without making a custom mounting housing. Comes pre install with memory card. Comes with free wireless notifications and video view and a premium service for long-term storage and I’m not sure what else because I’m not using it. Battery life between charging is variable based on how much it is triggered. I advise to not have it aimed towards a road unless you are the only one living on it because you will end up recording every vehicle passing by.

The Eaula Videns 2K Doorbell Camera has completely transformed how I keep an eye on my front door. As someone who’s had my fair share of missed packages and surprise visitors, this little gadget has been a total game-changer. It’s a mix of modern tech and practical design that’s surprisingly easy to set up—even for someone like me, who once managed to assemble a bookshelf upside-down.
First off, the 2K resolution is sharp enough to count the whiskers on the neighbour’s cat. Whether it’s bright daylight or pitch-black night, the night vision kicks in beautifully, offering clear footage without that eerie graininess. The human detection feature is a nice touch too—no more endless notifications because a rogue leaf decided to dance in the wind.
The free chime that comes with it is a delightful bonus. It has a satisfying ding that can cut through the chaos of daily life (read: a toddler playing drums on pots and pans). Plus, the two-way audio means I can politely redirect delivery drivers or tell cold callers I’m “not interested, thanks” without leaving the couch. Very civilised.
One of the standout features for me is the no monthly fee aspect. These days, everything comes with a subscription, so it’s refreshing to have full access to recordings on the included 32GB SD card. Battery life is decent, too—I’ve gone several weeks without needing a recharge.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the WiFi connectivity can be a bit fussy at times, especially if you’re not close to the router. But once it’s up and running, it’s smooth sailing. Also, the doorbell feels sturdy and weather-resistant, so I’m confident it’ll brave the Scottish winters without a hitch.
In short, the Eaula Videns 2K Doorbell Camera ticks all the boxes for home security, convenience, and affordability. Whether you’re warding off porch pirates or just checking if the dog walker remembered to latch the gate, this is a must-have addition to your smart home setup.

Overall, this is a pretty decent video doorbell. Firstly, it is one of the cheapest I have seen in the market as compared to some of the known ones who are easily double its price. Naturally it is not as good as those but given its quality and use, it is still very good.
Installation was fairly straightforward with easy to follow instructions manual included. The doorbell charges via the USB cable (also included) and lasts quite a few weeks with a single charge (a full charge took about 3,4 hours) so happy with its battery life. The doorbell came with a chime too that allows you to choose a ring as well as volume level. Audio quality on both sides appear to be clear and without much lag. I think the video quality is better than expected and it is crystal clear during both day and night (Infrared technology is very good during the low light setting). I have also not noticed any lag when receiving notification on my mobile phone so works seamlessly.
All in all, fairly pleased with this video doorbell and would recommend it as an entry level video doorbell. Have rated it as 4/5 stars.

    Eaula Videns J4 Video Doorbell.
This video door bell is wireless and powered by two 3.7 volt 18650 rechargeable batteries.
The doorbell pushes into a plastic shroud that can be stuck or screwed to your door frame. The camera doorbell is secured to the shroud by one tiny black crosshead screw at the bottom. This makes the doorbell very easy to remove, and therefore not very secure. Once removed you have access to the micro SD card slot which holds the supplied 32gb card (will support 128gb max). This enables local recording on activation rather than relying on cloud storage. The manual says cloud storage is free and activated by default, this is just for 1 yr and offers a two day loop of recording.
On the rear of the camera doorbell is a USB C charging port for the batteries and a reset button. A short USB a to C cable is supplied.
The included manual recommends 12 hours charging before use.
This doorbell included an indoor chime. This is tiny, at about 4.5cm square. It is powered by USB and has an USB A plug on the back. There are buttons to select door bell tone and volume and they are also used to pair to the door bell.
Once set up with the iCam365 app the video quality is clear day and night, using infra red at night.
Detection and alerts work well however only one phone can connect to the app at a time. If you don’t answer the phone alert it keeps ringing! It can be disabled.
I would have liked to have the option of adding additional ringers and increasing the range of the ringer so it can be placed further away. Otherwise you are reliant on having your phone with you to know someone is at the door.
All things considered for a basic (by current standards) video doorbell this is good value at £46.

We have just got this Eaula WiFi video doorbell for our rental property.
The installation process is pretty easy and straightforward
    1. Install the 32GB SD card and (included) to the doorbell
    2. Mark and drill 2 holes on the door side
    3. Apply expansion dowels and install the doorbell base with screws.
    4. Apply the doorbell on the base (the doorbell is IP66 waterproof so it is safe outside).
    5. Download and install the App and follow the instruction to pair the doorbell.
The doorbell supports 2K HD night vision, 2 ways audio and motion detection so we get notifications on our guests all the time and guide them easily. There is also an indoor chime (included).
The doorbell has a built-in 2 x 18650 batteries which can last around 6 months. It can be charged using an USB-C port on the back of the doorbell.
Overall, we would like to recommend this WiFi video doorbell due to its great quality.
