Does not work with car play
I got ordered this for my business laptop to be able to use peripherals and charge at the same time. While I had it though, I figured I would test it to see if it worked with wired car play to try and fast charge while I was connected to the car, and if it worked, then I could purchase a second one for my vehicle.I tried with various cables and it wouldn’t work. Now the product description shows that it works with any audio source, so I figured it was a long shot and that it might work but no matter which cable I used, i couldn’t get it to work with car play.Just thought I would save someone the headache, and the one star deduction is because since they specifically mention any audio source in the description they should know car play is an audio source especially for an apple centric device, and the description should be clear that it in fact does not work with car play.

Only one side worked.
Brand new, one side dead on arrival. I’m getting disappointed in electronics from Amazon. It may be the whole industry, but electronics have issues so often. If they aren’t working after just buying, they are purposely made to have a short life and die later. I’m older, and electronics would last the whole time a child grows up to adulthood. I love all the people in the world. However, there is one country that supplies Amazon the most. I’m not one to blame an entire nation, but I wish Amazon would have a better variety of suppliers.

USB-C Splitter works with powered charger on one port
I bought this for my ipad, so that I can transfer files to an external SSD drive that gets its power from the USB port, and at the same time keep the ipad charged. This does that job. I’ve read reviews that says it doesn’t last; I’ve also read reviews that say it lasts for years. So if it dies, I’ll update, but as of September 2024, it’s working great for this task.

This devise offers two ports, one to deliver charging current for USB-C devices, and the other for data. It is well-made and can easily expand the capability of most Apple- and Microsoft-formatted computers offering a single USB-C port.

Usb c hub with 2 usb c ports
I bought this thinking it would support two usb c external portable monitor, does not work for video out at all, even though is listed as two USB C 3.2 Gen 2 at 10Gbps, clearly that wasn’t it, as one port is just for charging and the other one is USB C 3.2 but no video out unfortunately, and also is not a dual USB C 3.2 either, just only one port as the other one is for charging. The advertising here is misleading. Will be returning it. It does work for data transfers as advertised but only one port as the other is for charging, still not a true dual USB 3.2 Gen 2 as again, one port is for charging only.

This was a good option for “expanding” to have additional ports to my Macbook Air. It worked well except one port is dedicated to data and the second port is apparently only for charging.
